“Lovely place”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

Our tour group stopped here for lunch after visiting Ephesus. We had a quite delicious meal, bought some good wine, and were shown the rooms. The rooms looked lovely (both the suite and the single) and the location for lunch was as pretty as Tuscany. I don't know the price for lunch but the prices we were told for the rooms seemed reasonable, given how lovely the place was.

After a long day at Ephesus, we drove to Yedi Bilgeler to check in for the night. Too tired to drive elsewhere for dinner, we opted to simply park our car and stay there for supper. We were treated like royalty! They gave us a tour of their winery, and allowed us to taste their wines in order to select our favorite. Dinner was one of the best meals of our entire trip. The suite was a huge apartment with 2 balconies overlooking the olive groves and vineyards. Breakfast was a treat as they explained the typical foods of the region. They also gave us travel tips about visiting additional ruins that we did not even know existed. We wish we could have stayed longer!

On a tour our group stopped for lunch at the Seven Sages. The hotel (now consisting of approximately 5 rooms, a restaurant and a winery) is brand new. It has the qualities of California's Auberge du Soleil. The owners -- several Turkish physicians and a businessman -- plan to expand to more than 20 rooms and add a swimming pool. Set in vineyards outside of Izmir, the setting is quiet and expanisve. Sparkling brand new, the entire complex is spotless. The food in the restaurant was plentiful and tasty and the service was attentive. If you want to relax off the beaten path of beachfront property, this may be the place for you on your Turkey trip.

The architecture is inspired by the Spanish style of Andalusia. The winery is owned and managed by medical doctors. My group from Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT) stopped there for lunch on our way to Kusadasi and a visit to Ephesus. The wines are better than the average wine served in Turkey where the tax on alcohol is high. Stopping there was a nice change of pace from visiting historic sites.

Room Tip: All three rooms I saw were very attractive with a view over the vineyard.

The vineyard hotel was absolutely beautiful. Makes you feel like you are in a small village. The views and scenery were outstanding. The staff was very polite and accommodating. Had a delicious meal our first night there. The wine was excellent as well. Each morning a delicious breakfast was prepared specifically for us and not a buffet as other hotels have. The beds were very comfortable. We were out of town from Selcuk just far enough to not hear the early morning call to prayer, but close enough that the drive was very short to Ephesus. All in all, our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. The only downside was that the bathrooms are very small and it was difficult to keep the water in the shower area.

Room Tip: Get a room with a view of the vineyard

Amazing concept of resort. Newly built. Excellent rooms. Stayed at the grand suit. Huge suit area. Excellent food. Extremely helpful staff. Some infrastructural issues as it is still being set up but end of the day it's a fantastic property. Don't miss to see the vine making process. They produce good quality vine. Try to understand the basis of the name of the vineyard. It's interesting. Has a small kids play area as well. Good restaurant.

My family and I stayed there for just one night. Breakfast was one absolutely perfect. The complimentary wine in your room definitely encourages you to buy a couple of bottles before you leave, since the wine is really good. Very close to Ephesus and Train Museum. Looks convenient only if you have a car, or willing to walk. Nice and sincere people.
