Was one of the seven wonders of the world alas not much left. Must use your imagination to visualise the size for the age.

Just a little side-trip after our tour of Ephesus. Considering the importance of this historical sight, there isn't really much left. Something to see if you have the time but don't worry if you can't get there.

Even there is only one column, it is worth to visit and take nice pictures of the column-trample and the castle and green trees and the swamp.

Small quick stop. Walking distance from the museum, Basilica of St John, restaurants, etc. It looks like they are working on a formal, nice entrance but for now if you blink, you will miss it, as you can see in the picture.

There’s not much left of the magnificent Temple of Artemis that was considered to be one of the seven wonders of the world. Built in the 6th century BC, there is literally a single pillar left standing. Surrounded by busloads of tourists.
