We stayed two nights here. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wood fires in the dining room. Rooms a good size and reasonably comfortable. No hot water one day but piping hot the next. Overall charming.

Dear our valued Guest,

We thank you very much for your reviews here. We would like to point out of hot water issue as we have the water heating equipment on the roof and takes time to be in rooms may mislead its availability. Otherwise we have always how water available in our hotel. We hope to welcome you next time again in our hotel.

Best regards,

This hotel is by far the best of the five "four-star" hotels we stayed in during our week-long trip around Turkey. It really warranted it's four-star rating, whereas some of the other hotels we stayed in did not. Calm and quiet, despite being on a main road. Large, spacious well-appointed rooms, with a couch and sitting area in addition to the large and comfortable double bed. Only negative was the shower, which had a curtain, not a door, and as a result the floor got very wet when one showered. The shower fixtures were also a bit dated.

Small, intimate restaurant which served a excellent food and lunch and dinner. Copious and varied breakfast buffet. There was even real coffee, unlike the powdered stuff they served in all the other hotels we stayed in.

The season was bit too cool to allow outdoor swimming, but there is a large pool for guest use. Beauriful and well maintained garden. This hotel is defintely a must.

this is a really good hotel on the main road of selcuk, walking distance to the train station and bus terminal and marketplace with plenty of eateries.
the location is good and the hotel inside is so beautiful its almost like a resort: the rose garden, pool, everything about the place is relaxing and peaceful. we loved the evenings we spent there in the garden with sparrows chirping and the sound of water in the background.
the rooms are also spacious, old style but nice in every way. the interiors are basic but the feel of the place is superb. its probably 3 old houses made into one hotel and the result is very homely.
while booking the hotel we had asked for airport transfer which was good, reliable [considering the odd timings flights land] and coming down to the same cost as a taxi.

Room Tip: ask for the garden facing room

We stayed for two nights at this property and found it quite pleasant. We stayed in the building at the back of the property on the third floor. Our room overlooked the rose garden and toward the pool area. We did not have a balcony but the window opened and we could have some cool night air. The room itself was basic, decorated with antiques, which were also found throughout the building's common areas. It was quiet and comfortable with a good shower. Wi-Fi was free but really was not strong in the rooms. A full breakfast buffet was provided each morning with a good selection, so that you could easily find something to suit your needs. The staff was friendly and multilingual and eager to please. The pool was a welcome choice after a day of touring. It was clean with lots of towels and loungers available. It was a very pleasant antique type hotel.

Room Tip: Since the buildings were older a room on an upper floor might be a good choice to prevent squeaking...

Dear our valued Guest,

Thank you very much for your reviews of our hotel. As you mentioned that our rooms don't have balcony but some of them faces the rose garden and has its fresh smell. After enjoying the summer time in our hotel you may experience also winter season by having the fire and its cosy atmosphere in our lobby next time. We believe this would add nicer memories.

This is much like a quaint hotel in a small French town. The view looking out my small window was of an ancient fortress wall overhead on a hill. The food was superb, owing to the hands-on care of the French management. Instead of salt, the kitchen uses local herbs and spices for flavor, almost unheard of anywhere. Full European breakfast, a la carte or very reasonable fixed price dinner. Spacious garden and pool area to hang out. Fixed menu includes an exquisite help yourself dessert table. Very good wine selection.

Room Tip: I was in a multistory building behind the garden. If there are rooms on the main street, they might...

Hotel Kalehan is in a great location for visiting the area of Ephesus and Selcuk. It is within easy walk of town and being on the edge of the city does not have the traffic noise. The rooms are full of antiques which makes the hotel quaint.

The grounds are nice enough, but our room was dark and depressing, with a view of piles of random junk just outside the window. Our friends' room had no hot water and the first room they were given didn't even have a bathroom -- it was down the hall. The restaurant was pretty good at dinner, but this was the only hotel we stayed at in Turkey where just about everything at the breakfast buffet was either flavorless or nearly inedible.

Dear our valued Guest,

We thank you foryour reviews here. But there is something not true that you on your review by saying you had no bathroom and hot water in your room. We have all our rooms have bath in them and since the hot water comes from roof top it takes to reach to the room and this causes misunderstanding! We do NOT agree also with your saying about our open buffet and its taste. This was the first time we heard about it in years. We were sorry that we couldn't meet your expextations in our hotel.

Best regards,
Hakan Ozdemirci
