After a tortuous flight(s) we arrived at midnight - having phoned to confirm we were still coming - and were escorted to a room with big comfy beds, aircon that worked and a bathroom with lots of hot water! Bliss!
Breakfast was a feast and the views from the terrace amazing - the castle, Isa Bey mosque and views across the fertile plains to the hills.
Owner (female) speaks fluent English, but other staff are sketchy. They will try very hard though and we all managed. We ate in the terrace restaurant one night and the food is good and plentiful - mains come with additions, so order starters sparingly unless you are starving...
The pool is a welcome sight after walking around town or through Ephesus in the heat, and the tables on the bacony overlooking the pool, a pleasant place to wind down.
Very comfortable and great value.

We stayed in the "economic" ground floor room, only 80 tl ($32 US) for ac, a nice pool, and great breakfast. The staff were incredibly friendly and there was a sweet dog to play with on the garden patio. This hotel is close to the mosque, St John's cathedral, and has a rooftop view of sunsets and the Turkish countryside.

One of the best we had our entire vacation.

Clean rooms, wonderful outdoor pool, and the nicest front desk staff you will ever meet. The wife of the owner is a native English speaker, and was totally lovely and helpful. She knew everything we needed to know about transport to/from Ephesus nearby, and was happy to answer all our questions.

There is a nice rooftop restaurant for lunch/dinner, and breakfast (included) is also served there. Highly recommended!

The hotel provides a clean and comfortable room with private facilities and small balcony. The bed was excellent and a good night's rest attainable. The hotel reception is most professional and speaks good English - very welcoming! The basic breakfast is a buffet style, a most suitable way to serve and adequate given the price. The hotel swimming pool would be a major plus during summer! Overall a good hotel in this price range.

This is my most memorable stay of the 2 weeks. This hotel had a very hospitable environment, right next to Johns Castle and so much more. Everyone in Selchuk was nice beyond nice. The staff at the hotel Mustafa and Metin became friends as did the owners puppy and son. So wonderful. We did not need 5 star am entities their was so much eye candy up down around everywhere. Ladies take note of the women honored in history here.

Room tip: Booked a King suite corner but switched to center room for view of the valley, pool albeit too chilly, St. John's cathedral and castle. Breakfast on the balcony. All was fine because big sites to see. Just walked into cathedral ruins and wow what I found. Safe peaceful and oozing ancient beyond belief. Stay if you're ok doing wo 5 star needs. Stay if you want to walk to everything. Stay if you want friendly local peace. Enjoy!
