“Tha archaeological sites at Ephesus”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

The history available through a tour of this and the other sites at Ephesus is extraordinary. With the aid of a good guide centuries of history are brought into focus and the links and development of Christianity to this place are a real surprise. Turkey is a beautiful country with wonderful people. I think Ephesus is one of the jewels of Turkey. It was just as exciting on our second visit.

“An Outstanding Historic Church, A Must see in Selcuk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

After St. Paul, St. John's Basilica is the place where St.John had written the bible. He was also buried at this church and you can visit his gravesite. It was rebuilt 7 times and Byzantium Empror Justinianus had a basilica built here during 6th century AD. A wonderful historical temple to visit.

“Interesting site!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2012

St . John the Apostle or Theologian was buried at this area which only this makes it more than remarkable, since there has been the metastasis of St. John at the spot, after he rested in peace returning from his exile on the island of Patmos.
