This restaurant has made it big mainly for drawing in the tourists. I should have known not to go as soon as my hotel informed they had free pick up service. We were led to the upstairs roof top area. There were no view and the tables were cramped together so closely we could literally hear our neighbor's conversation. The food was average, not great and not bad but it is sorely overpriced. Service was awful. We had the most stuck up waiter. Be warned and don't waste your money here!

Our experience was mixed, our hotel arranged transfers to/ from the restaurant, the view from the rooftop bar was beautiful but our service was mixed we had a lifeless waiter who hissed and huffed everytime he gave us food, took and order, poured water and answered questions. The food itself was quite good overall we enjoyed the evening however I was very wary of the wait staff who just bring entrees put them on your table and walk away prior to you ordering. I would recommend going to this restaurant for the view but just be wary.

we loved this restaurant. The food was so delicious! Very nice personable service! We asked many questions about food and its recipe. Our server Mesut Sezar explained us very patiently. He noticed that we eat the grilled eggplants with the skin, so he rushed to our table and showed us how to eat it. It was very kind of him, but funny because we knew how to eat it; we just liked it this way... The service in this restaurant is really nice. The bas boy, I believe his name was Taifun, made me a rose from the napkin in the end of our dinner. It was cute.. So, don't miss this restaurant! i is located in Samatya Balik Pazari, Istanbul +90 212 529 0833. If you stay in the hotel, just ask them about this place and they will call a taxi, which will take you there for free.

Very nice cuisine with amazing view of the Bosphorus. Easy to find by public transport. Ask to sit on the top floor in order to have the view.

This restaurant is situated a 10 minute drive from the heart of the old city, but they will pick you up and then take you back after your meal. The driver was very pleasant with good manners and English. The restaurant is interestingly laid out, but after climbing many stairs you enter a large, open room with 180 degree views of the water. It is a fantastic place to sit. The wait staff are efficient and friendly and there is a wide ranging menu, from which we chose: hummus, stuffed meatballs and shish kebab meals. We also ordered a Turkish rose wine. The first course arrived promptly, accompanied the most delicious Turkish flat bread I have ever tasted. The hummus was unsurpassed, served with freshly toasted pine-nuts. The kebabs were also of the highest standard and my pistachio kebab was perfect. The tomato and burghal salads that accompanied the kebabs were fresh and most tasty. For dessert we ordered a pastry with pistachio and cream cheese which was enough for 3 people easily and possibly 4. It was delicious. At the end of the meal a waiter created a rose from a paper napkin, which was very sweet. This is a good place to go for lunch as it is not crowded and the view is clear. For us, this meal was by far the best food we had in Turkey.
