We stayed here during two portions of our trip - the first four days and our last 2 nights. It is a great little hotel located perfectly. It was a 5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque and St. Sophia, 10 minute walk to the metro, and about 15 minute walk to the Grand Bazaar.

The rooms are small, clean, comfortable and decorated appropriately for the "romantic" side with lacy, antique details. The size of the room being small, was not an issue as all we do is sleep there and don't need a lot of room for that. The bathrooms were small, but again, we were not looking for a large space to hang out in. We did that up on the rooftop terrace with a view on one side of the Blue Mosque and the city and Sea of Marmara on the other side.

Erdal Koptekin, the manager of the hotel, was absolutely wonderful in helping us with our daily plans and finding great restaurants to eat. He was warm and welcoming and loved our kids.

If you are looking to stay in the old city and don't need the feel of a Marriott or other large chain hotel, then I highly recommend the Romantic Hotel.

Room Tip: Let them know if you are traveling with more than one child and they will gladly accommodate. I had a hard time when searching hotels as most of them didn't have an option for more than one child.

Very nice hotel in a great location, very close to everything you need to see. Breakfast is served on the terras with a nice view, for a romantic trip the Dolmabahce Suite is probably one of the best rooms you can find in Istanbul.

Room Tip: For a romantic trip the Dolmabahce Suite is highly recommended

Lovely quaint hotel in a perfect location for Blue Mosque, Topkapi and the tram to anywhere else. The room was tiny but clean and we had a lovely view of the Marmara sea, strange not having a sheet to sleep under... just a quite rough blanket. Trains going by at the back but not really disturbing. The breakfast was fine and the staff all really helpful, booking taxis and hammams etc. Lots of steps though , so not for the mobility challenged!
Np tea and coffee in the room... they could have had it available on the terrace, that would have been nice. Free wifi worked really well.

Room Tip: Try for a family room.... more space

We stayed here for 8 days in june 2012. We were very happy with the service and check in was smooth. The breakfast was lovely, and consisted of yoghurt, honey, fruit, cereal, boiled eggs, cheeses, meats, bread and cakes. It was served on the terrace which has a lovely view - we saw dolphins in the bospherous one day!
The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we used the hotel airport transfer service which we were happy with.
Our room was a twin room and was very small, tv or telephone didnt work, however it was spotlessly clean with an excellent shower.
The hotel is very centrally located for everything, with a tram stop nearby.
