Very nice hotel in a great location, very close to everything you need to see. Breakfast is served on the terras with a nice view, for a romantic trip the Dolmabahce Suite is probably one of the best rooms you can find in Istanbul.

Room Tip: For a romantic trip the Dolmabahce Suite is highly recommended

Lovely quaint hotel in a perfect location for Blue Mosque, Topkapi and the tram to anywhere else. The room was tiny but clean and we had a lovely view of the Marmara sea, strange not having a sheet to sleep under... just a quite rough blanket. Trains going by at the back but not really disturbing. The breakfast was fine and the staff all really helpful, booking taxis and hammams etc. Lots of steps though , so not for the mobility challenged!
Np tea and coffee in the room... they could have had it available on the terrace, that would have been nice. Free wifi worked really well.

Room Tip: Try for a family room.... more space

We stayed here for 8 days in june 2012. We were very happy with the service and check in was smooth. The breakfast was lovely, and consisted of yoghurt, honey, fruit, cereal, boiled eggs, cheeses, meats, bread and cakes. It was served on the terrace which has a lovely view - we saw dolphins in the bospherous one day!
The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we used the hotel airport transfer service which we were happy with.
Our room was a twin room and was very small, tv or telephone didnt work, however it was spotlessly clean with an excellent shower.
The hotel is very centrally located for everything, with a tram stop nearby.

My first time in istanbul,a fascinating city, mysterious, and the small hotel was like a family home, terrace for breakfast with a wonderful view and Attilla and his aunt looked after our needs perfectly, and his parrot was cute too.a very comfortable place to stay and right next to all the places of visit.

Room Tip: Window views are wonderful

Overall this hotel is a good place to stay and better than the two other hotels I've stayed in during previous holidays here. Didn't have any problems with noise which we were worried about but there were a few negatives that would be so simple to fix.

These comments are for the benefit of the hotel owner - firsty as mentioned previously please do some simple maintenance in the rooms and glue the wallpaper back onto the walls. I almost had the motivation to do it myself after the third day of looking at it. Secondly, it's a simple breakfast so you must keep the ingredients fresh especially the bread and tomatoes. Thirdly don't let your staff smoke at the entrance to the dining room. Istanbul or Turkey is the fifth highest per capita of smokers on the planet and having a smoke free breakfast would be great as you know for sure that the rest of the day wandering Istanbul is going to induce lung cancer from passive smoking..

I stayed for 4 days in the hotel in the family room.Positives are economy, excellent location and extremely helpful and courteous staff.Negatives are small and cramped rooms, just about average facilties and cleanliness and repeated monotonous breakfast every day.(though not bad).If you want to roam whole day and just sleep in your room, then a good choice, but if you want to enjoy the hotel ,then certainly not!

Room Tip: family room is economical for people with two big(above 12) kids.......,otherwise most other hote...

We were a family of Seven anad had a family room and a double room. From the moment we checked in every thing was taken care of from advising where to go, what to to do and even booking tours for us. The hotel is a small family run affair and they have a bigger propert called Romantic Mansions as well. The Hotel is all about location. Blue Mosque/ Hagia Sophia/Topkapi palace were just five minutes walk. Lots of restautrants near by; choice is unlimited. We had a great view of Sea of Marmara from our room balcony and if you go to the Terrace you have stunning views. Double rooms are bit small but it makes up for other benifits. Check out the family parrot in the Lobby.

Room Tip: Take the family room if you have kids.
