Imbat is a great place to eat with good food and excellent service. The staff are very friendly and the place buzzes with atmosphere. It was rather chilly when we were there so the terrace, which has a view of the Bosphorus was closed, but can imagine how nice it would be to eat on the terrace on a warm evening.
We ate at Imbat on our first night, and was so impressed we returned on our last night for another delicious meal. The lamb simply melts in the mouth, and is probably the best I have ever tasted in a restaurant.
Thoroughly recommended

The restaurant is on the top floor of Orient express hotel. We had lunch at the restaurant and loved it.The food was great so was the wine. The Service was good and we felt it was worth the value. The only problem is that the 3 days we stayed at the orient express not one day were we able to get a table reservation for just 2 people in spite of living in the same hotel.otherwise i would recommend it completely.

The restaurant is on the top floor of the Orient Express Hotel. You can view the chef and waiters at work on a tv screen outside of the hotel. The food is fantastic, the ambience great and the cost is exceptional value. For example a bottle of Angora red was 40 TL wheras under the Galta bridger the same wine was 90 TL.

In terms of service, I booked two months in advance and asked for a window seat. I didn't get one and said we were a little disappointed in this without making any fuss at all.We were instatntly told that all of our food would be free that night! The head waitress whose name is pronounced Paylynne was extremely attentive as were the other waiters. This is a cut above your usual tourist restaurants with all of the pictures but also remarably cheaper. We went twice during a five night stay.

Oh and there are views of the Galata Tower and Blue Mosque. Fabulous!

Booking in advance is a must. Do not miss out!

Absolutely delicious food for such good prices. Would recommend the chicken oriental dish. Plates well presented and staff polite and attentive. The view is also an added bonus. I'd recommend booking as full when we went, but had previously reserved a table.

Overall experience would correspond to 4 stars but if we compare with average "tourist restaurant" in Istanbul than this one is outstanding.

Top food with great staff. The waiter had excellent sense of humor and very good English. Price is not to high also. We managed to spend only 90 lira, i.e. 38 EUR.

Excellent view of Istanbul in night.
