“Best breakfast in IST”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2014

This tiny restaurant/cafe is THE place to go for an outrageous breakfast. The elderly proprietor (Mr. Pando?) has pictures of his cows on the wall. Best omelet ever - also delicious fried eggs in butter. Don't forget the fresh bread and clotted cream with honey - amazing!

“Awesome hole in the wall”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

Found this little trip advisor gem for our last breakfast in Istanbul. No menu they just ask you how many of each item they have. Awesome honey cream with fresh bread, then brought out fresh egg dishes with sausage and some fresh veggies. Mr. Pando was a cute little old man who kiddingly flirted with the girls we were with. Overall great and authentic experience!!

“Our first and last stop on every trip to Istanbul”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2013

The title says it all. Every trip to Istanbul starts with a trip to Pando - fresh bread, pillows of kaymak (a turkish version of clotted cream) drizzled in honey and perfectly fried eggs. Though very little English is spoken, you find yourself managing quite easily. Mr. Pando has certainly heard a lot of "may I have one more?" to satisfy such a request.

Everything Mr. Pando serves is fresh, rooted in tradition and beautifully made. Spending an hour indulging in his offerings, sipping on fresh tea (a welcome cut to the sweetness of the kaymak), you see how important Mr. Pando is to the Besiktas market. Big burly workers come in and scoop kaymak onto their bread. The shawarma man from across the street will have a cup of tea and some eggs. Students will stop by on their way to school to start their day with a full breakfast.

For those of you looking to find Pando's, you might read that he is just 3 doors down from the Eagle in some reviews. To our dismay, we discovered that the Besiktas market has more than 1 eagle. The one you're looking for is the big eagle with closed wings, near the Rogers coffee shop. Pando is right beside Yves Rocher. You won't realize that you're at Pandos until you're standing right in front of his robin-egg blue sign, so use these landmarks to guide you.

“Very tasty”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2013 via mobile

Very tasty if not a little overwhelming with all that clotted ream. Have no idea what I was meant to pay as the money I handed over was taken with a smile
