Its location on the Bosphorous, facing the Bosphorous bridge is amazing especially at night. The place is elegant with professional staff and free wifi. Food is above average. We were invited, but it is well known of being expensive.

We went for dinner with two friends, having been here in Istanbul for a few days! It was just about the very worst food I have ever eaten in Istanbul over the last 25 years or so that we've been coming here!
Starters were bland, deffinitely bought in pre packed and assembled. We are in a country where the vegetables are some of the very best in the world, and this was absolutely not apparent at this restaurant. The octopus with aubergine tasted old and extremely fishy, which is not normal and I've never tasted this anywhere. The main courses of fish and my grilled lamb were so below parr that was embarrassing!
This restaurant needs to be avoided at all cost!
Staff very helpful, that was the only redeeming feature together with the fabulous view.

Choice of the food is very good. It was part of the conference and could accommodate a large number. Ambiance is excellent.

Feriye was recommended to us by the hotel and we were not really prepared for the high quality fine dining that is on offer. It simply has "class" in every aspect from the location, the greeting upon arrival to the food.
There are quite a few restaurants around Ortakoy especially in and around the square on the little port. We sampled one and it was a huge disappointment.
We decided to ask the hotel for a recommendation and they suggested Feriye for traditional Turkish food especially lamb.
The location is right on the Bosphorus but you walk through a drive way and an old medieval building, turn left and Feriye is a closed in area on the waterfront. After making enquiries I was informed that the restaurant used to be in the old building but closed and reopened in the present location.
I have never seen an entire page of the menu devoted to variations of lamb- but there it was.
We had the grilled leg of lamb and the grilled rack of lamb. Both were amazing. The menu has many other dishes other than lamb including chicken, fish and sea food.
The setting and the service was exceptional. This night we did not have wine but the list is impressive.
We had a very enjoyable evening and you can tell if locals frequent the place it must have something going.
Don't let this one pass if you are staying in the Ortakoy vicinity. It is a bit pricy but it was worth the money.

We had lunch there with some friends, food and service were outstanding. The venue is overlooking the beautiful bospherous...amzing restaurant, a bit expensive, but we highly recommend it.
