“Expensive - great views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013 via mobile

The setting of this Restuarant was excellent. The food and wine prices were over the top. The service was average. There were only 4 other couples in the Restuarant. The food was very good. The setting right on the Bosphouros was excellent. The view of the Bogazici Bridge all lit up at night was amazing. Worth swing the view.

“You cannot find better view..”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2013

Situated in Ortakoy, looking at the Bosphorus bridge, had a booking for new years eve.
Lot's of fun there, food was very good, waiter's friendly and helpful table set up was super.

“Don't bother, completely overrated”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2012

Despite descriptions of 19th century Ottaman police station buildings, you are just sitting in a glass-windowed tent in its back yard. You can get the same view from down the road at the House Cafe. The service is stand-offish. They looked suitably distressed when we mentioned that we didn't have a reservation (even though the place was half empty and didn't get much busier during our meal). The menu selection was uninteresting and we struggled to choose any dishes that sounded good. The wines were completely overpriced (even by Istanbul standards), with wines by the glass about twice the price of other restaurants we'd visited, for the same wine. The food was well below average, but the price was very high. The atmosphere was pretty stale and we got out of there as fast as we could. A waste of a meal in Istanbul.

“in winter somehow depressing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2012

it was a stunning view but the atmosphere was somehow depressing in the dark tent at the Bosporus. The food was good, but not excellent. The service was not unfriendly but nothing more. The price for food is good but for the wine it was absurdly high. Would probably go there in summer, but definitly when you have to sit behind the glass
