The location is great. Right on Istiklal street beside all the shops and action.
However, i did not like the food so much.
I just ate because i was simply hungry.
Honestly, i would not eat at this Cafe again.
Maybe next time , i would just sit and have a drink or something.

Found this place by a chance whilst having a stroll in this busy part of Istanbul on Friday night. Buzzy place and a good place to stop by for a pre-drink before the dinner. Interesting selection of Turkish wine and they sell them in half bottle size as well which is quite good. Food portion looked reasonable. Whole place opens up to outside so it creates a good buzzy ambience. A good place to chill out.

The New York Times travel section recommended this place and we planned to go before we left. The restaurant is hip and modern looking and has a warm and inviting feel with the bookstore open to the tables. The food (we had one traditional Turkish breakfast plate and an omelette) is better than okay but not as fantastically special as the NYT had made us think it might be. If you are in the neighborhood, it is worth a visit for a bite or to book browse, but be prepared to pay US prices for the coffee (at about 9.00tl, or $5.00 it is as expensive as anything you'd buy in a major US city). They also play music videos (breakfast with JLO, anyone?) with the sound off while you eat, which is a little bit entertaining, but also a little but odd.

different to most bars! The service was really good, menu different and really well prepared food and the wine list was very good!
