We were there during our family holiday trip to Istanbul, Turkey from 25 Dec to 30 Dec 2016. A simple apartment with basic amenities. I booked a three room apartment i.e. two bedrooms and a living cum kitchen. (Although it states three bedrooms on Expedia, which is confusing). Anyway, our stay was good. The owner and staff of the property were extremely helpful and hospitable.
The Good
• Located in Sultanahmet area, i.e. near to many places of attractions such as Hagia Sophia, The Blue Mosque, Topkapi and much more. All walking distance if one do not mind walking up rather steep slopes which are very common around Istanbul.
• Near many good restaurants, tour agencies and convenience stores.
• Proximity to the tram and train network
• Next to a mosque, a plus for practising Muslim family.
• Clean and well maintained
The Not So Good
• The apartment has no lift/escalator. Something to think about, if you have elderly or somebody with knee/leg problem tagging along with the trip.
• The shower cubicle is quite small.
• No backup power generator. Power outage is quite common in Istanbul. It happened almost every day when we were there. Without electrical supply during winter is not a joke.
