I stayed here for a few nights on business. It's a good solid hotel and I would recommend it to anyone. If you are here on vacation, this hotel is a bit out of the way. It takes about 20 minutes on the subway and another 20 minutes on the boat to get to the old city. But the service is excellent and the breakfast buffet is one of the best ones I've come across. It serves a good selection of Western and Turkish dishes and it's really easy to gain weight.

I'd managed to blag an Ebay auction for two nights for not very much, otherwise the hotel would have been out of my reach financially.
The hotel itself is well worthy of its 5 stars, I upgraded to the executive room, with access to the lounge, and was more than happy with everything about the hotel.
The staff were great, one minor quibble, we went out one day and on our return the coffee/mini bar area hadn't been replenished. It took two phone calls and two visits to sort out, which I thought was a touch unnecessary, apart from that everything was great, room was always spotless when we came back in.
The room was large, well equipped, the tv speaker in the bathroom is a nice touch and the bed was excellent.
The only thing that stops me giving this an "excellent" review is its location. Whilst the hotel itself is fantastic, all of the sights of Istanbul are on the other side of the river, which for us necessitated a taxi ride to and from the ferry daily, an inconvenience rather than a real downer.
I would stay here again if someone else paid the bill, without a doubt.

The Mariott asia - is a great hotel offers everything you would expect from a 5* hotel.
I stayed there alone during a buisness trip - and found the hotel very pleasing.

Pros -
1. very nice rooms - sound proof, speakers in the bathroom, comftorbale beds.
2. great breakfast - you got everyhting you need and more.
3. the service was spotless - very trained staff .
4. nice lobby and bar.

Cons -
1. the location - for me it was perfect, but i am not sure i would recommend for tourists.
2. internet - i got a free wifi, but most of the guests needs to pay extra. (usually i don't go anymore for hotels that doen't offer a free wi-fi - it's a princple for me).
3. the staying is not cheap at all - but you are getting a very high standards.

I stayed in this hotel for 4 months when I was in Istanbul on business. The rooms are excellent. Comfortable, clean and with good climate control!
Its worth paying extra to upgrade to the free mini bar package, which gives you access to the executive lounge at the top of the hotel. This means unlimited drinks and snacks, which is always handy for a thirsty traveller. The free wifi is good, though the Turkish government block access to some websites, like youtube. You can get around this by using a proxy server (insane proxy, ninja cloak) as sometimes news articles are blocked.
Try Sahans restaurant around the corner, which is excellent. Be careful on the roads though as the traffic is manic

Hi everybody!
We spent a great weekend at this hotel! First of all i would like to thank Burcu and Cisem (Guest Relations Dep.) for their great help, incredible involvement and beautiful smiles!
Now to the details of our trip:
Being a couple it was very important for us to be comfortable yet not bothered. The hotel is new, about 3 years old therefore everything is shining inside.
We've got a spacious cozy room on the 17th floor with a stunning sea view, big bed and very well organised bathroom. Everything is spotless, bath tub was even large enough for two not short people ;) Having a coupel of little packs of yellow bath sault was a pleasent surprise. All amenities are very high quality, i usually hate using the hotel's shampoos ect but not this time.
Breakfast ordered to the room was delivered exactly on time, the waiter was nice enough to enter the room tip toe not to wake my sleeping half which was very sweet of him.
Once maid forgot to refill our little coffee storage (to be honest only 1 coffee pack was missing), i called "Delighted to serve" and in 10 min we had the entire set coming to our room along with the mugs and glasses. Outstanding!
Once we had a breakfast downstairs in the restaurant. Great service, great food, amazing scrambled eggs and a wide selection of everything for everyone. Yet i noticed one turkish guy sitting there all angry and yelling at a poor cook girl...you know, there are some people that can never be satisfied...i got so mad at him than so using this chance to say: Hey, you are such a...not nice person! Be nice to people and you will get more in the end!
Now to the SPA...swimming pool is rather big, relaxing area is nice, saunas have separated entrances from women's and men's changing rooms. Gym in immense and incredibly professional!!! The only thing that i can complaint about is jacuzzi that is not so white anymore and quiet honestly i didn't dare sitting in there for more than 5 min.
As to the location...hotel is actually close to the subway station Kozyatagi but you have to walk through the entire area of Carrefour department store to get there and it's pretty frustrating at times. Also we took taxi twice and it was very hard to explain to the driver where the hotel is even considering that i lived in Istanbul and know this area a little bit. The thing is that the hotel is not on the main road and it's not easy to find where to turn. Anyway if you will be taking a cab tell the driver to make a turn at the Carrefour's parking lot, there is a little street that goes to the left and will eventually take you to the hotel. When we were going to the airport Ataturk which is all the way on the other side we could not afford getting stuck in the traffic so we took a subway. The bad thing is that NOTHING goes directly to the airport. So far the easiest and the fasterst way that i've descovered is this, it will get you to the airport in 1.5 hours max: Take a train on the station Kozyatagi (nearest to the hotel) to the station called Unalan, change to the metrobus (there are signs everywhere) to the direction of Avcilar (Sogutlucesme if you are coming from the airport to the hotel). It will take you to the station called Zincirlikuyu (it's right after the bridge) where you exit the bus and take another one to continue the route. Than you go to the station Atakoy/Sirinlievler where you get down to the subway and it will get you right inside of the airport in 3 more stations. Otherwise if it's not a rush hour or you are not in the hurry take a cab :)
Well, i hope this review was helpful and i did not miss anything important. Any questions are welcomed!

The service was very good and accommodating, the room was clean and well maintained.
The iron was old and would be nice if replaced, handle was sticky old rubber.

The breakfast was very nice!

Would suggest for a business stay on the Asian side, a bit far from the center.
