Great family atmosphere (that is important to feel safe), incredibly clean (every day cleaning), excellent hospitality, stuff and service, excellent location and great value for money!!! Definitely going back to the same hotel next time!

We wanted to find a budget option in Istanbul at about 30 euros per night and when the place we stayed wouldn't reduce their room rates to meet our needs they offered an alternative place called Tulip Guesthouse. We were a little worried but all our concerns were alleviated once we arrived at Tulip. The young owner called Esin was extremely friendly and helpful and particularly warm to our three year old son. Though the room was small it was entirely adequate and very very clean. Room service was exceptional and the breakfast was the best we had on our entire holiday of three weeks across Turkey and Iran. The variety of stuff on offer for our morning meal was huge including cornflakes which we new saw again after this trip. The views on offer from the cute breakfast room at the top were lovely overlooking the Marmara sea.

The location was a stone's throw away from Sultan Ahmet Mosque and Hagia Sofia so this was perfect. Esin gave us some great advice about where to change our money which was din the bazaar and this priced to be spot on as nowhere else came close to offering a better rate for the pound. She told us how to get to many different places offering many brochures. She even provided us a wake up call so we could get our shuttle bus to Ataturk airport which she also arranged and best of all she and her lovely parents looked after our son whilst we went to a Hamam that she arranged for us.

The only thing we didn't enjoy was the restaurant recommendation which was very overpriced at over 90 liras for two. But everything else was great and Esin is a sweet young woman who is like our family. We miss heating her mellifluous bounce calling our son in the morning. She was always at hand to help us out and was very easygoing and smiling all the time. There was also a lovely Georgian lady who helped us out or breakfast and we want to thank her too.

They even gave us breakfast when we missed the scheduled time through little fault of our own, that it was served daily which was so thoughtful. Thanks Esin!!!

We stayed here for 4 nights and didn't get disappointed!
The owner was so helpful like our friend or sister! She did everything to make our stay perfect!
Especially, her family looked after our son so well when we went to Hamam which she organised.
The room was very clean. She also woke us up so we could catch our flight.
The price was very cheap and breakfast was the best on our entire trip.
I will highly recommend to stay at this lovely guesthouse!

Great hotel in 5 minutes from Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Sultanahmet tram station. Rooms are clean and cozy. You'll have a breakfast on a top floor with a sea view. Staff is friendly and helpful. I'd say you won't find a better hotel for this price in Istanbul. Highly recommended!

A very friendly gauest house with staff that is welcoming, helpful and quick to react to any request. The manager is very kind. Due to the location of the guest house all the major sights are accessible in matter of minutes. I can recommend it to all.

We stayed for 6 nights at Tulip. First you will notice it's more like small hotel, not quite guesthouse. Rooms are not big but it's more than enough for two persons. Both room and bathroom were very clean, personel is very friendly and willing to help you with any issue. Very decent breakfast is on top floor, with nice view on Bosphorus and Asian side.
Location is perfect, some 100 meters from Blue Mosque and Aya Sofya, in very quit street.
Great value for money, highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights in December 2013/January 2013. The location is perfect for all the touristy sights, beds are very comfortable, breakfast is traditional and yummy, and hot water is plentiful! The staff was super sweet and accommodating - and were always available when needed. Only cons: the rooms are very small (like, besides the bed, only 1 open suitcase will fit in the room) and the bathrooms are quite cold.
