Istanbul is a very nice city, and the tulip guesthouse is a very good place to discover it. Thanks to the proximity with the most important sightseeing (topkapi palace, aya sofia, blue mosquee...) of the city, it' very pleasant to sleep in there.
Peaople are very nice, breakfast countains the local specialities.
Just a problem of noise with the others hostels and bars... but not so important if you are tired with your visits.

We spent four nights at Tulip Guesthouse last week and enjoyed our stay a lot.

The guesthouse is well located near all sightseeing hotspots (5 mins. walking) and even closer there is a street with many restaurants and shisha bars, nevertheless the guesthouse is in a quiet side street.

The staff is very nice and friendly and is always willing to help with information concerning the city or organization issues.

The rooms are quite small, however for sightseeing in a city for a few days, you don't need more space. Furthermore, the rooms are very clean and tidied up every day.

The breakfast is delicious with fresh bread, jam, butter, olives, legumes, eggs, yoghourt, flakes,... and as a highlight the breakfast room offers a beautiful view on the sea.

We stayed at Tulip Guesthouse for seven nights and it was a wonderful experience. It is extremely well located in Sultanahmet, very near all of the most important historical sites. Great location for all of the Old City sights and easy access to the new city. The whole place is very clean, and the people that work there speak very good English. Also the breakfast was fantastic and there was a huge variety of options - eggs, really yummy cereal, vegetables, breads, jams and spreads, and unlimited tea and coffee. There was also a pretty good view of the Sea of Marmara from the breakfast floor, the top floor of the building We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to this wonderful city.
