“Charming hotel and one of the best restaurant in the city”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

We stayed in Tria 20-26 December 2012.
Charming small hotel, good service, small, but very nice and comfortable room and furniture. There is two buildings in Tria hotel. We were in new one, there are 3 floors, 6 rooms and absolutely lovely terrace with amazing Basphorus view.

The best thing it's excellent restaurant in new building. Everything is very testy especially fish and seafood. Thank you very much to Irina, hotel's manager, for perfect recommendations and lovely company.

Room Tip: If you stay in new building, better choose low floor, on the third floor was some problems with hot...

We spent seven days at the Tria Hotel in Istanbul in October 2012 and opted to return there in November for our last two nights in Turkey before return to USA. The Tria staff was unfailingly polite and helpful. (A housekeeper did several small laundry items for us by hand.) The breakfast buffet was excellent--better than several others we experienced in 23 days in Turkey. It offered a variety of jams and cheese, bread and buns, 5-minute eggs, cereals, bananas, vegetables and citrus fruit, even a honey comb. Our second room was larger, brighter and cheaper than the first--essentially because our initial sojourn coincided with a five-day holiday that had millions of Turks travleing and hotels and museums crowded. The Tria is situated in the Sultanahmet quarter of Istanbul, widely regarded as the best corner of the city for tourists because of its proximity to the Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Grand Bazaar and other popular destinations. The Tria will have you met at the airport by a car and driver but be aware that it probably will charge you, depending on the number of nights you stay.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the narrow street get good light and are quiet because the street has little thorugh tr...

This hotel is situated in the heart of the ancient city of Istanbul in a charming cobbled street near all the wonderful sights - the Blue Dome, the Sophia Hagia and the Topkapi Palace. Breakfast is a delight of thick yoghurt, honeycomb cut from the frame, dried figs and walnuts, cold meats, cheese, pomegranate juice (a big thing in Istanbul). The rooms are on the small side (par for the course in this part of town) but they are well equipped, fresh linen, hot power showers and all needed to freshen up a weary traveller. A treat and one of Istanbul's secrets.

Room Tip: Choose room 401 or 402. Best views.

A very nice boutique hotel, nice reception area, buffet breakfast very nice.
Room was very comfortable & large, mini fridge (this is chargeable if you use the items)
nice big bed,very comfy,nice furniture,arm chair etc.
Bathroom was nice with whirpool bath, nice lux soap.

Room was cleaned daily but i think the bed sheets are changed every few days which isn't good!

Sometimes we would have a lie in and didn't ask for the room to be cleaned, when it was cleaned the sheets weren't changed.

Besides that the hotel is very good,FREE WIFI in room which was excellent, hotel location is excellent as mentioned by other travellers.

Porter helped with our luggage, and brought an iron & ironing board immedietley

Would recommend!

Room Tip: You can buy water etc from local shops, its cheaper!

The hotel's proximity to the main sights of the old town is its main selling point. The Blue Mosque, Aghia Sofya and the Topkapi Palace are al within an easy 5 minute walk. Plentiful restaurants in the next street ensure it is easy to eat in the evenings.
The hotel itself is small and cozy, breakfast is taken in a basement area which also serves as the hotel's reception. Staff anre friendly and helpful.
Room size (at least for us) is small and the views at the back of the hotel are non existent - the back wall of an adjacent property! Try for a room facing the street. Bed extremely comfortable.
We did ask for a car to be sent for us when we arrived at the airport and altough this was promised it did not appear. for whatever reason the booking had been mislaid, the hotel did rectify this pretty quickly but it still meant and hour's wait in the airport. Return trip to teh airport was perfect. If I was doing it again I would reconfirm with the hotel the previous day just in case.
Overall good value, well worth considering if you want to be near the main sights.

Room Tip: Avoid room 303 and rooms at the back of the hotel.

A lovely small hotel in a perfect location for seeing all the key sights of old Istanbul. Staff were helpful and very friendly. Rooms were very comfortable and had everything you needed - some were smaller than others but you expect that in an older building in the centre of the old quarter. The breakfast was good with a nice range of choices and the rooftop restaurant was truely excellent - and the staff up there made the experience one we will always remember. Airport transfers were efficient and a reasonable price (25 Euros). Definitely stay there again if visiting Istanbul - which is amazing.

Room Tip: Front facing rooms seemed to be a bit bigger - 2nd and 3rd floors the quietest, although noise not a...
