A pleasant family run guest house, well located close to Topkapi and everything you need to see.
Hosts ever helpful, and all round hard to fault. Great value for money. Excellent rooftop location for breakfast overlooking the Bosphorous. Go there.

From the first to the last moment a very friendly and helpful staff. The place is central in the city, but also a quite place. Clean, good breakfast, a nice view on the sea of Marmara etc. The hotel is run by a Turkish family and has contacts with other hotels, run by other members of the family. This was especially of help to us, because we could not spend the whole duration of our stay in this place.

We had a lovely two nights at Marmara Hotel in Istanbul. They were our last nights in Turkey and as we were tired, it was wonderful to have very comfortable beds and an excellent bathroom. The rooms were extremely clean and breakfast on the terrace overlooking over the Bosphorus, was a highlight of each day. Elif and her staff were always pleasant and helpful.

It's hard to beat the Marmara Guesthouse if you're looking for an authentic experience in Istanbul. The hospitality, location and "feel" of this small guesthouse makes it one of our favorite lodgings on a month long trip. We stayed 3 nights and took the advice of using their driver to meet us and return us to the airport. We know finding their location could be difficult without that service, and it was not expensive. It was clean, quiet, very close to everything. We paid a little extra for the room on the top with a sea view and will stay there on our next visit to Turkey.

Room Tip: The most expensive room is still a great bargain - choose it!

After 5 days in Marmara Guesthouse we felt sad to leave. We enjoyed our
stay there very much and will definitly go back there the next time. One is welcome, the rooms
offer all you need and are clean. WIFI and cellphones could be used without problems.
Since we stayed there during winter we had breakfast in the kitchen which was fun and we
still had a good sight at the Bosporus and Asia. And we even made out dolphins!
We consider Marmara Guesthouse's location ideal. All points of interest and public transport
are within walking distance.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped us to organise another night's accommodation at the last minute, when they were full. We also left some clothes when we checked out and they arranged for the clothes to be delivered to the next place we were staying - even before we realised they were missing!
Location is great. Breakfast is delicious. Staff are fabulous. Good value for money.
I would highly recommend this place.
