I read the reviews to this establishment through trip advisor along with two other websites and I am pleased to say that the vast majority of reviews are correct. The place was very clean and it is in a great place within the Old Town for sights and getting around. The breakfast is good and the staff were very polite and helpful. A big thanks to Tony and his staff for making it a pleasant place to stay.

I had the worst experience ever with this hotel: I have booked through Booking.com for 4 nights based on the evalution they got in Tripadvisor. They have made a mess and called me at 4 am two days later to say they did not have a room for the first night anymore. Then they reccomended another place for one night. While I was thinking about their suggestion (I wanted to check the hotel they were suggesting) they sent me a message telling me to cancel my booking because they did not have ANY ROOM available for me anymore. It is an absurd and I can not believe in all great marks they got. Be careful, they can ruin your trip to Istanbul even before you get there.

We stayed four nights in this hotel. Good points are comfortable beds, quiet street, free tea and coffee, free wi-fi, very friendly and very helpful staff, very nice and very plentiful buffet breakfast, clean rooms, good sleep quality...you probably get the picture. No bad points to report, not considering the tariff. Families should ask for rooms one and two because they are within a self contained annex with a private bathroom shared between the rooms. The hotel is within a one minute walk of Sultanahmet Square and a 15 minute walk from the ferries. Great location.

Now can anyone help...? My mate left a pair of boots in the room. If anyone from England stays there and doesn't mind bringing them back to England to post, then obviously he'll pay the postage upfront and no doubt include a little extra for a drink for their trouble. Just write to me at TA if you can help.

I stayed at Med Cezir with my 11 year old son for 8 days and we had a perfect time. Our room was big, very comfortable, and had a street view over the Hagia Sophia. Free wifi was very nice, also had a computer to use downstairs. The breakfasts were big and good. Staff was the best. Very friendly, helpful, and really went out of their way to make sure we had the info we needed. They set up contacts for our day trips and made great suggestions on what to do and how to get around. Rooms were kept very clean, everything is good repair, always resupplied us with tea and coffee. Food for lunch and dinner was also quite good. I really wouldn't stay anywhere else regardless. When we visit again we will stay at Med Cezir.

Room Tip: Only a block away from the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Suites with their own bathroom have large w...

Location is great for Blue mosque and Hagia Sophia area. Rooms are nice. The hotel had some very nice people but 1 is a little slimey. When we were there it smelled like fish a lot. My biggest issue was the fact that they wanted upfront payment in cash only. Other than that it was pretty good.

Hosts are excellent, always ready to help guidance, and very friendly, makes you feel like family. Rooms are comfortable, well decorated and clean, our room had a brilliant view of Hagia Sophia. The food is excellent, and the service is first rate. Great atmosphere. The location is second to none, right in the heart of the tourist attractions. Thoroughly recommended. A massive thank you to all my friends there.

The hotel is cheap and commfortable! Breakfast is OK. Free WiFi. Staff is pretty cool! Is perfect located, just in front of Aya sophia and 1 block from Topkapi palace and de basilic cistern! You can get around just walking!
Rooms are nice and clean.
