Perfect location next to Hagia Sophia and two blocks from the entrance to Topkapi Palace. Easy walk to restaurants, the grand bazaar, the spice market, and the ferry docks. The tram picks up one block away. Our corner room, #306, was airy and spacious with four large windows overlooking the church. The staff was welcoming and professional. The breakfast featured a variety of foods but little hot fare. The single issue I would raise about our stay is that the shower was a tight fit and would not accommodate anyone who was overweight. It also drained poorly. That problem was not corrected during our stay. However, we were there over a weekend. You will hear the call to prayers from the Blue Mosque even at 5 AM.

Room Tip: Corner rooms 206, 306, 406 are large and light.

Just returned back from staying at Ottoman Hotel Imperial on a short break visit to Istanbul. Although my partner made the reservation I had no idea which hotel we were staying, we were both pleased when we arrived. First, we had arranged airport transfer with the hotel, driver was right on time even though our flight was delayed for 45 minutes, driver was waiting for us at the exit.

Hotel has wonderfully trained staff, you can instantly tell this soon as you walk in through the door, they welcome you so warmly, want to make sure that you are happy at your first step. I could not thank them enough for the kind hospitality they showed us during our short stay.

What a Sultan room we had, more like a mansion suite, excellent size and style, very spacious a separate small sitting area overlooking the garden of Hagia Sofia. Nice large comfortable bed, spacious WC, with good size bath. Free WIFI throughout the hotel and room, works very well, good speed.

Location, well that's the beauty, walking distance to all the major historical sights, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Underground Cistern, Grand Bazar all nearby. Many local cuisine restaurants around the area as well nice outdoor cafes and bars.

Do highly recommend Ottoman Hotel Imperial.

Everything about this hotel is top class. We we upgraded to a junior suite without asking. Front desk staff was better than hotels costing twice the price. The buffet breakfast was served in an all glass room with great views of area surrounding Aya Sofia. Plenty of food options ,all fresh and replenished as needed. The hotel staff is perfect and couldn't be more helpful. My sincere compliments to the management of this hotel. They really know how to please their guests.

Location perfect, close to all the essential 'must do' visits. The hotel is great, with lovely rooms, great selection for breakfast and absolutely amazing staff. Every person we met was very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely return.

This is a small boutique hotel placed right in the heart of the old city of Istanbul. All attractions are close by at walking distance and we enjoyed our two days here. The rooms are nothing to write home about. Our room was on the ground floor and it lacked private as the window opened into the Main Street. The room assigned to us initially was very small and unkept. We requested and upgrade and for some amount we were given the ground floor room. The terrace restaurant is the best part of the hotel. It's beautiful overlooking the city. The food is ok.
For its location and only location the hotel is recommended. The staff was very friendly and adjusting.

Room Tip: Get a deluxe room. standard rooms are very small.

Our group of 4 spent 3 nights at this beautiful hotel.
The location is second to none in a safe neighbourhood close to most of the major attractions.
The rooms were very well appointed, clean with comfortable beds.
The staff treated us like family looking after all of our excursion plans and transportation issues.
Mehri the manager made sure we were happy with our rooms and made our Istanbul experience fantastic.
"Mehmet the Manificent" bent over backwards to make sure we had help with luggage, laundry and every conceivable need.
I will return to his little jewel in the future!

Room Tip: Try to get a room on a higher level.

This hotel is close to all the historical and touristy sites around the old part of the city. Stone throw away from Aya Sofia , Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, Gulhane Park and two tram stops. Excellent area, lively, although not as Taksim which is the city centre with loads of restaurants , bars, shops etc.. But Sultanahmet area has many local cuisine restaurants, souvenir shops as well as a short walk to Grand Bazar, make sure to bring your bargaining mode.

Of course rooms size and position vary on the price you pay just like any other hotel, we opted for the superior Sultan room which over looked the court yard of Aya Sofia. It was a good size room with plenty of space, comfortable and good size bed, good spacious bathroom.

Staff were very kind, willing to help out in anyway they can.
