In a quiet area, I did get a little more of what I had paid for!
Clean room, of a 'Boutique Hotel' (which for me means an upper class pension)
5 min (or less) from Hagia Sofia & BlueMosque, and 6 min from tram SultanAhmet stop.
Thanks AhmedEfendiEvi team !

From the super-friendly way you are treated by the staff, to the 24-hour "front-desk" service, to the pleasantly-appointed rooms, this boutique "hotel" is like a true guesthouse from a bygone era of hospitality!

The location in the Old City (Sultanahmet/Fatih area) is a few minutes walk to the major tourist attractions--and to the tram for easy access to other areas--yet on a more-quiet residential street. Many restaurants are around the corner, and a little convenience store is just up the road.

Every room has WiFi (with a strong signal!), A/C, TV, refrigerator, coffee, tea, etc. Although this is a "house" in the Old City, the rooms and showers are no smaller than as in many hotels in "Western" countries. (So, if bath size and impersonal service are your priorities, then this is not the place for you.)

The breakfast has more variety than can be sampled in one sitting, consisting of hard-boiled eggs, cheeses, breads, jams, marmalade, honey, yoghurt, various cereals (muesli, grains, etc.), deli meat, salad/vegetables, dried and fresh fruits, olives, juice, an assortment of teas and infusions, freshly-brewed coffee filtre--and make sure you try the tahini with grape syrup for a great morning energy boost!

Staying at "Mr. Ahmet's House" will make you feel as comfortable as if you're in your home-away-from-home!

We very much enjoyed staying at this B+B. Good value. Rooms (we had) were tiny, but since we were there only to sleep, it was all what we needed. Extremely nice owner. Breakfast adequate. Great central location in a reasonably quiet neighbourhood. Rightly priced. Definitely recommend!

We had a most enjoyable 5 night stay. Mehdi (the owner) and Jousef catered for all our needs. On arrival, Mehdi gave a full briefing on the tourist attractions of Istanbul. He handed us complimentary transport cards, gave us a short walking tour of the immediate area and briefed us about the transport system and how to put money on the cards.
Jousef was on duty each morning serving a very good Turkish Breakfast. In fact, he was always available morning and night to give you directions and advice on the local restaurants.
Our room was spacious having a separate living room with TV, fridge etc. The room was cleaned and towels etc. changed daily. Even the bedding was changed after the third night!
Better than some 5 star hotels!
We would have no reservations in recommending this Guest House to others.

Room Tip: We had room 5, was great because it a double bedded room with a small ensuite and separate living ro...

We stayed in this B&B for 5 nights this past May and were extremely happy with our selection. Reasonably priced, very clean, quiet, safe and, importantly, only minutes from main tourists sites in Sultanahmet. Our room was spacious (bedroom and a living room) and very comfortable. The breakfasts were great and we were impressed by the helpful and courteous staff. I would definitely stay there again!

Close enough to main sites and in a quiet area. Rooms are small and an extra three inches on the shower curtain could have solved some flooding. The common area also doubles as reception and breakfast. We have been travelling in turkey and Romania for 3 weeks and may not have been ready for Istanbul prices but I could not help think with a little more effort we could have found better value for money. Breakfast offerings well below par. All up everything was reasonable without being memorable.

First of all I want to thank Yusuf for his warm welcome and excellent service during our stay at the end of mai.

(Only negative point:) before arrival I sent an email with some questions about transportation to the hotel and about the rooms. I got a long email back but only with commercial answers, not really helpfull.
Upon arrival I learned this email came from the owner, a bit disappointing in my opinion, that he could not give me the same information by mail as Yusuf gave me upon arrival. Would have saved me some money and time!

Besides this little thing everything was great. Both owners are very nice (though a way to 'commercial' for me, prefered Yusuf's recommendations). Breakfast is nicely presented and for the price really good. The rooms were cleaned every day (wow!) and big enough! Maybe they could do something about the pressure and temperature of the water in the morning?

Would recommend this hotel to everybody without a doubt!

And again a big big thanx to Yusuf from the three girls from Switserland/Holland/France ;)!
