We have just returned from four nights at hotel niles and were very impressed! The location of the hotel is great, we were a few minutes walk from the tram line and the grand bazaar! The hotel itself was clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly, Kamel gave us some excellent recommendations whilst on our stay including a restaurant called Imbat which was outstanding. We thought this hotel was great value for money and have had members of a family also stay there previously, they recommended this to us and we can see why, it is a gem of a hotel. The breakfast is served on the roof terrace and you can eat outside when the sun comes out. The range of breakfast was varied and Turkish style, some of the dishes looked mysterious and not all that appetising if you are used to an English or continental breakfast. There is a variety of cereal, fruit, yoghurts and also toast available too though as we certainly never went hungry. This hotel is not a luxurious one but it doesn't need to be as most of the day we were out sightseeing and really just needed a clean, comfortable, helpful and nearby hotel and for us, hotel niles ticked every box. If we were to return to Istanbul then we certainly would not hesitate to return to this hotel.

We ha d a memorable stay in Niles hotel, a family hotel with professional staff and excellent service. Our room was very confortable with balcony and partial see view, and a lovely turkish style hammam. The breakfast, on the roof terrasse, was a good start for the day, They also offered a bar service on the terrasse in the evening, which is very enjoyable after a long day visiting museums, palaces or the bazar in the neighbourhood.
We highly recommend this hotel located within walking distance to the most attractive touristic sites of Istambul

Room Tip: The Penthouse suite was just perfect: confortable and very well decorated, and we loved the turksh...

I am very remiss is writing this review. My wife and I and our 4 "adult" children wrapped 4 days on either end at Hotel Niles (pronounced NEE-lays) around a 7-day Eastern Med cruise last August. We were met as agreed at the airport, brought to the hotel, served warm apple tea and Turkish delight and shown to our rooms. The staff was extremely accommodating. The hotel is charming in a very charming part of the the old city. The tram was easy walking distance. The Grand Bazaar practically across the street. There was a very convenient ATM nearby. Some very good restaurants and local shopping - even a great place to get a few bottles of water for our exploration hikes. It couldn't have been better located. We asked for recommendations for dinner and they gave us some excellent choices and arranged transportation to and from. Each restaurant was very different, but the food was always first-rate. And it was great not to have to worry about getting back after a few raki! The rooms were clean, well-appointed and generously sized. The rooftop cafe and bar was very nice with a beautiful view and excellent breakfast food and evening cocktails and snacks. The staff was, without exception, polite and eager to help and make our brief stay(s) in Istanbul delightful. When it came time to get to the ship terminal, they arranged the van to take us. When we came back a week later, they were there to greet us. I have nothing negative to say about Hotel Niles and when we return to Istanbul (and we will - what a great city!) we will stay there again.

Certainly lived up to the good reviews, very helpful staff and well decorated clean rooms.
Only short walk to most major attractions and also very close to a tram station.
Large selection of restaurants within 10 minutes walk.
Airport pick up service worked very well.
All of the staff seem very keen to keep up the excellent standards, very much enjoyed our stay.

This is an excellent hotel which we used for a 3 night short break in Istanbul Good attentive staff, and hotel was very clean and comfortable. Room we had was perhaps a bit small but that wasn't a problem. Breakfast served in roof top terrace room was standard fare without being excellent. The best thing is the ease of getting to the main sights of the historic centre. They are all within easy walking distance of the Niles. But it is also close to the tram. There is no restaurant in the hotel but there are many close by.

My husband and I stayed in the 'Presidential Suite' for two nights at the end of March and were impressed by the room, staff and rooftop terrace area. The bed was very comfortable, the room clean and bathroom excellent (with a mini hamam area). There was a good extensive choice of foods for breakfast and also the atmosphere on the terrace is warm and relaxing. The hotel manager also personally greeted us (and other visitors) each morning to make sure our stay was going well.
The location is very good, not in the middle of the tourist restaurants and shops but very close to the Grand Bazaar, a tram stop, and the street was quiet and safe.
We were particularly impressed with the friendliness of the staff who arranged transfers and generally helped us with good information about activities and sights of Istanbul.
We are a wonderful stay and can totally recommend Hotel Niles.

Really liked the stay in the Hotel from the beginning. Pick up service worked, the stuff is really friendly and helpful, the rooms a clean with wifi and the main sights are just in walking distance. I can fully recommend this hotel, it was positively differing from the other hotel groups I've seen.
