If you are staying near the famous Grand bazaar in Istanbul, look no further and book this Hotel. The hotel is very clean and guest friendly. Breakfast is provided at the roof top with view of the sea. The front desk manager makes a point to be present in the breakfast area in the morning to answer any questions or to guide you for any activities you may have planned. Must take their suggestions on where to eat, otherwise, you will regret at being overcharged for the same food 3 times more. This is not a chain Hotel, therefore, they make it a point to be extra friendly. The rooms size for a Superior room is average which is acceptable because it is the old part of town. The hotel is in a quiet side street that leads to the main street in front of Grand Bazaar. Tram station is right there. The Blue Mosque is about a mile or less. Hagia Sofia is across from the Blue Mosque. The Topkapi Palace is another 1/4th of a mile from the Blue Mosque. If you like to walk, stroll through the Grand bazaar to the famous spice bazaar (about 20 mins). As you come out of the spice bazaar, cross the bridge over the Golden Horn and walk up to The Galata Tower( about 20 mins). From there, walk on Istiqlal street for about 30 mins to reach the Taksim square. From the Taksim square you can take the Metro to Kabatas tram station and back to Grand Bazaar. The hotel is not in a posh area but the location is excellent because of the proximity to all the attractions. Also you can walk down to the sea area. If you do that at night on weekends after 8 pm you will be amazed by the liveliness of the sidewalk cafes. To sum it up, this is a great hotel to book if you want to walk to the attractions and see Turkey as a tourist. If you are looking for a resort then this is not for you because the area has a different touristy feel to it. The hotel by it self is very clean and guest friendly. They will do any thing to make it comfortable for you. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Superior room is good for 2 people.

I've stayed in this hotel twice but have only just got round to reviewing it. Fabulous place to stay, truly charming service and great value. Breakfast is great on the lovely terrace but it's the staff and general care that goes into each visit that makes the difference. I'll come back again

This was a great place to stay and if I am lucky enough to be in Istanbul again, I will stay here.

Great experience, though I would recommend getting their shuttle from the airport (25 euro flat fee) because it is a bit hard to find the first time.

Things I liked:
Very, very nice, helpful, and personable staff
Very clean and comfortable rooms
Great free breakfast
Very close to the big sites in Old Town (Grand Bazaar is a five minute walk, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are a ten minute walk)
Very close to a tram station (which takes you everywhere a tourist could want to go)
Free and strong wireless
AC

although i stay one night here, i can say that the best thing in Turkey is i stay here.

staff is really kind and helpful, service is great. but the best part is the roof terrace in the hotel.
the view is awesome and enjoy simple, good breakfast and drink.

please stay here, we never regret.

here is tip, you can book the hotel nile website directly, it is cheaper than 'hotels.com' ,
booking.com' and so on.

enjoy =)

We were there for 6 nights,THE MOST THING THAT WE DIDN'T LIKE WAS first we arrived and Yilmaz (reception) gave us 1st floor at the end of the corridor although I had mentioned when I was making reservation that I want 3rd or 4th floor. When I told him he said (not kindly) that he will prepare another room, then he sent us to 4th floor room with damaged Air Con. I called Yilmaz that the Air Con doesn't work properly and again he (not kindly) said we will fix it in an hour and he knew that problem, I asked him to change our room again and finally he gave us 5th floor room.
Good Points was Nice Staff, Clean Room, Nice Roof Top, Good Location.
The Breakfast is not amazing and limited choice and the rooms are small but good for 2.
