I've stayed in this hotel twice but have only just got round to reviewing it. Fabulous place to stay, truly charming service and great value. Breakfast is great on the lovely terrace but it's the staff and general care that goes into each visit that makes the difference. I'll come back again

This was a great place to stay and if I am lucky enough to be in Istanbul again, I will stay here.

Great experience, though I would recommend getting their shuttle from the airport (25 euro flat fee) because it is a bit hard to find the first time.

Things I liked:
Very, very nice, helpful, and personable staff
Very clean and comfortable rooms
Great free breakfast
Very close to the big sites in Old Town (Grand Bazaar is a five minute walk, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are a ten minute walk)
Very close to a tram station (which takes you everywhere a tourist could want to go)
Free and strong wireless
AC

although i stay one night here, i can say that the best thing in Turkey is i stay here.

staff is really kind and helpful, service is great. but the best part is the roof terrace in the hotel.
the view is awesome and enjoy simple, good breakfast and drink.

please stay here, we never regret.

here is tip, you can book the hotel nile website directly, it is cheaper than 'hotels.com' ,
booking.com' and so on.

enjoy =)

We were there for 6 nights,THE MOST THING THAT WE DIDN'T LIKE WAS first we arrived and Yilmaz (reception) gave us 1st floor at the end of the corridor although I had mentioned when I was making reservation that I want 3rd or 4th floor. When I told him he said (not kindly) that he will prepare another room, then he sent us to 4th floor room with damaged Air Con. I called Yilmaz that the Air Con doesn't work properly and again he (not kindly) said we will fix it in an hour and he knew that problem, I asked him to change our room again and finally he gave us 5th floor room.
Good Points was Nice Staff, Clean Room, Nice Roof Top, Good Location.
The Breakfast is not amazing and limited choice and the rooms are small but good for 2.

This is a lovely hotel, in a great location - safe, and within walking distance of most of the sights in the old part of town, and the harbour, and lots of good places to eat. It's just a short walk to the nearest easily-navigated tram/metro too, so it's very easy to get around. The staff are unendingly helpful, cheerful, patient (let me practice my minimal Turkish on them), and caring, all the way from the housekeepers to the managers. It was sparkling-clean, beautifully decorated, and there's a gorgeous roof-garden where breakfast (included in the rates) and afternoon tea (free) are served, with a spectacular view over the rooftops to the sea. You can buy beer there too ;-) They will arrange for a reasonably-priced van to and from the airport, and are happy to give recommendations and directions for the day's activities. There's a little gym in the basement too.

I can't speak highly enough of the excellent staff - what they provided was way beyond a corporate check-list of "good customer service". They were fabulous and really added to the pleasure of this visit to Istanbul.

Room Tip: You can't go wrong. I suppose the "regular" rooms are quite small, but unless you want...

Just spent 4 days at the Niles. We started our trip in Istanbul and then ended our trip there. The staff at the Hotel Niles were wonderful. They welcomed us to their wonderful city with tea, turkish delight, clean, stylishly decorated rooms, a great shower, information about Istanbul and an unending willingness to do whatever they could to make our trip wonderful. When we left for our tour of Turkey, they stored some of our luggage and purchases so that we didn't have to lug them around for 10 days. The breakfast on the rooftop overlooking the bosphorus was plentiful and varied, with fresh fruits, yogurt, eggs, fresh bread, jams, cakes, etc. The location is very convenient to the Grand Bazaar, the tram is just up the road, and walking to Sultanamet is only a 15 minute stroll. The rooms are small, but tastefully done. This is a great hotel as it offers tremendous value for your money

Perfect for travelers spending anywhere from one night to much longer in Istanbul.

Very well located - quick and easy access to the tram that gets you everywhere in the city. In kind of a quirky garment district, but totally easy to walk to the major sights in the old city, or even to the bridge and the new city.

Price was super reasonable - absolutely great bang for the buck.

Staff - a year later, we still talk about how great everyone was - really, just the nicest people you could ask for, from the guys at the front desk to the bartenders upstairs.

Speaking of upstairs - the bar and roofdeck make this place absolutely unbelievable. We had drinks up here EVERY NIGHT of our stay looking out on the sea, and the breakfast outdoors on the roof every morning was truly unbelievable.

Our rooms were simple but everything we needed - we didn't get suites, and just went with the most basic option, but that was certainly enough for our needs. Sounds like the suites are really amazing.

Long story short - after staying there for about a week (broken up - 3 days, interrupted by a trip to Princes' Islands, then back for four more days), this hotel absolutely felt like home, and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The guys running this place deserve the recognition!
