Immensely happy w The Sofa Hotel's location, large room size and blissful rain shower. Such a relief to come back from busy Istanbul sightseeing to the cool luxury of this hotel. Lovely breakfast and wide range of amenities make this worth every lire!

Stayed only for one night but first impression was very good. Complementary drink on check-in was a very nice gesture (and much needed) and the staff were very helpful when I forgot my EU plug adapter. Free wifi a boon and very quick during the afternoon, slower in the evening.

Room was large and spacious and the bath-shower area very well laid out.
View from the window was nothing to rave about but such is the luck of the draw so no real concern. I guess having no traffic noise is a plus since I was not facing the main road.
Air conditioning fan slightly noisy unless you turn off during the night which is OK if it is not too hot. Only negative point I can say is breakfast. Very attentive staff however made up for lacklustre choice available for breakfast.

Location wise, it is in the middle of a shopping district with plenty of parks nearby. Nice restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes especially if you are a family - the Japanese restaurant nearby highly recommended. Picking up a taxi at the front may difficult and metro stations quite a distance.

Overall though would certainly recommend as it is near to the Congress centre which was the reason for my trip.

my second time to istanbul, we stayed here on a bachelorette.
Pros:
- rooms were very spacious, we got a walk in closet and a huge bathroom
- lots of storage space
- boutique hotel with a really hip bar on the terrace
- always felt like one big party to be at this hotel
- walking distance to all the fancy stores on nisantasi
- half a block away from armani hotel
- helpful concierge but a little rusty on their english, like most of turkey though
- good lighting, i find this a HUGE problem in hotels around the world

Cons
- not too many food options within the hotel but the breakfast spread was good
- indoor small pool, but excellent jacuzzi and spa services
- older guests could find the overall vibe of the hotel noisy, its like the W's around the world
- no toothpaste in the bathroom!!!!!!

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view of the street instead of the interiors of the hotel, its nicer.

This is our first trip to Istanbul and we couldn't be happier with our hotel choice. The Sofa Hotel is a boutique hotel in a fabulous and chic district of Nisantasi. From the moment you step into the hotel, the sweet aroma welcomes you into this tranquil and charming hotel. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Sad ullage is one of the resourceful concierge you'll ever meet. He made our experience very memorable and all his suggestions were perfect. If you need any help with the front desk, make sure to ask for Fatih or the Front Desk Manager, Humeyra. The hotel is nestled among several shops, cafés and restaurants. We are avid walkers, which made the location a big plus. The traffic in Istanbul is pretty congested and we recommend that you try to walk within the area. Sofa Hotel is a must when visiting Istanbul!

The location is very good , near lots of shops , u can take the taxi or tramway to any other place in istanbul easily . the workers are very helpful and nice. The hotel decoration is romantic and modern , they have lots a very warm ambiance . Their breakfast is delicious and their food in general, you might face some communicAtion problems if u don't speak turkish but they do speak some english to get things done. All in all it was a very nice long weekend in the hotel with a tiny problem which is that at night u can hear some noises coming from outside :) oh and the elevator is really nice ;)
