We stayed three nights in April 2013. We used the hotel airport transfer service both ways which was (if I recall correctly) 60 Euros return for two people (in total, not per person) and was flawless.

As you'll see from other reviews the welcome to the hotel is detailed and very helpful. It starts with a city orientation on a map, pointing out tram lines, key tourist sites and so and then a load of leaflets on organised tours. My two tips: (1) if you do a river trip book it yourself at the harbour for a fraction of the cost and (2) if you'd like a guide for a half-day pre-book it from home as it costs much more locally.

Our room (101, appropriately) was fine in size and with a decent bathroom but suffered from residual drain noise from adjacent rooms. It also faced a side road so no view, which wasn't a problem as we spent the day outdoors.

Breakfast was a small but decent buffet selection and was included in the room rate.

The hotel is a ten minute walk from the main sites. The directions are a bit vague but part of the joy of Istanbul is getting lost - enjoy it!

We have chosen this hotel by the reviews we read here, tempting hotel photos and our own needs: authentic location, walking accessibility of cultural sights and a culturally tintet interior. We got a warm welcome from the relationship manager Emre who gave us a 20-minute walk-through the places to see and things to do in the city. The reception service was wonderful, roof terrace view incredible and location proved out to be at the heart of the old city. The rest derserves a comment. As we fell for the photos provided by the hotel, the room falls short of our expectations. The standard room was much smaller in size than expected and the cleaning standards could be better, without going into details. The bed turned out to be extremely uncomfortable (too hard) and the pillows way too high, so that we did not feel rested in the morning. Although the staff was very helpful in adjusting the conditioner, they insisted to come in in the middle of my bath session just to fill in the bar, which we did not ask for. If you are in a mood for a drink on a roof terrace, be wary of the pricy drinks and scarce choice of wine. Some of the fresh pressed juices on the menue are not available either. But generally a good stay with friendly personnel being its biggest virtue.

Room Tip: Go for en upgraded room with the Marmara sea view rather than standard

We visited Istanbul on our way back from Pakistan. It was our first time in Istanbul and we were relatively nervous, especially given that we had unpleasant experience with Turkish Airline. Ottoman Hotel was in all respect great experience. Particularly the staff was friendly, hospital and eager to help with any and everything. I wish I could have written this review right after my trip so that I could mentioned names of the staff members took care of it. My wife and I were especially happy the way the staff, in particular, and Turkish people in general expressed love for our young kids.

The hotel is located in historical Sultan Ahmet area and less than 10 min walk from all the historical sites (Blue Mosque, TopKapi Palace etc.). We will definitely stay at the Ottoman Hotel Park when we visit Istanbul the next time.

Great Modern Hotel between the old istnabul streets and appartments.
Friendly stuff and nice service. The Restaurant in the Hotel is great! Breakfast buffet is more then enough for this kind of a hotel.
The Rooms are clean and decorated as a Ottoman Room.
The Personal can Speak perfect English and friendly.
If u wanna make a Istanbul trip and sightseeing u need just to walk. If u want to go to the Modern part from Istanbul and see the normal world with shopping mals u can take the subway its just 5 min. to go.

Great Hotel!

Stayed here with a friend in april. Our first time in istanbul - won't be our last and would definitely use this hotel again. We arrived usung the metro and tram from the airport and then had a number of locals directing us. All very helpful. Only a 10/15 minute walk. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room wasn't
very big, but it was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast is ok. Good choice of food. The views are lovely across the Marmara sea from the terrace. The location is perfect. Only 10 minutes or so to the main sites. Lots of restaurants nearby and a bit of local colour.

I recently spent five days at the Ottoman Park and was really pleased with their services and hospitality. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room, spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance from the main historic sites and also near the tram station. On the first day my friends and I got a map along with a full city guide orientation from Mr. Ozkiper, the manager, who also helped us with reservations for the Hodja Pasha Dervishes cerimony and other city highlights. Breakfast is very good, served at a terrace with a beautiful view of the sea. I highly recommend the Ottoman Park and would certainly stay there again on a future visit to Istanbul.

Set in a quite neighbourhood the hotel is only 10 or so minutes walk to most historical sites and close to small intimate restaurants. The sfaff are friendly and helpful and gave us a free istanbul map and guide. The breakfast supplied is good and the terrace has great views. We suggest upgrading to a delux room. Will return on my next visit
