“Good location, good service”

Comfortable & clean, & within a mile of the Grand Bazaar. All the amenities of a 5 star hotel, but on a very noisy , crowded street. Breakfast was always very good. Unfortunately, if you are nopt on the street side, the 'music' from a local bar can be disturbing.

Room Tip: Stay on the street side or the karaoke from a nearby bar might keep you up.

Great location for sightseeing and getting around city. Good restaurant and very adaquate breakfast. Well equipt room included TV, Coffee, Tea maker, bottled water and large bath. Tram for easy access to city a short walk away. Spa center with Turkish Bath located in Hotel along with well equipt gym. Found that walk to Grand Bazzar was very interesting and could be made in about 30 minutes. If you are looking for a convenient place tostay in Old City, why not try The Mosaic.

I stayed at Hotel Mosaic during my recent Gate1 Tour of Turkey. The location of the hotel is perfect with a ten minute walk to the Grand Bazaar and a five minute walk to the tram. The first visit, I got an interior facing room. The room was small but not a big deal as I was barely there and it suited its purpose. In this room I made the following observations, there were pistachio shells on my floor from previous inhabitants and the walls were paper thin where you could hear the phone ringing in other rooms continuously for twenty minutes in the early hours of the morning. It stopped after a call to the front desk!

On my second visit, I got a great room that was exterior facing and has tons of room. My only grip with this room is with respect to the cleaniness. In the bathroom trash can, I found a pungent smelling towel that left an foul odor in my room and in the bedroom I found the personal products of previous inhabitants on the floor. A simply cleaning of the room should had made these discoveries.

I would have loved the hotel due to the location if only I had not my discoveries.

I ended up at this hotel as part of a tour package which was a portion of my two stays at the Mosaic. The second stay was due to my connecting flight through New York being cancelled due to hurricane Sandy, and my unintended tenure of being an expat till I could fly out to the west coast. During my stays I had three different rooms ranging from acceptable, to annoying, to horrid. The annoying title went to the room above the night club, and the horrid award went to the room in which the window opened into an interior ventilation shaft, and was about the size of a walk in closet.

The daily hotel breakfast which was included with your room was passable. Not great, but not horrid either.

So I'll lump my pluses and minuses into categories for you:

Location: Not bad. Three blocks from tram, 5 to 7 minutes walk to the grand bizarre, 5 minutes to the university, the aqueduct was also about a 5 minute walk, and grocery stores were just down the block.

Restaurants: Restaurants on the same block as the hotel were overpriced tourist traps and not worth your time nor money, but just around the block were a slew of kabob and local restaurants that were awesome.

Hotel restaurant/bar: Pass

Hotel wifi: actually was pretty good. Desktop with printer at hotel had a charge for usage and printing, but printer didn't work.

Hotel staff: Nice enough.

Hotel price: Ravingly average. Right along with everything else in the establishment.

Room Tip: Ask the desk to get you a room far away from the downstairs restaurant. Live, loud music and noise...

The hotel is pretty clean with a good service. Staff is friendly and helpful. I really like the breakfast in the hotel; very good variety and tasty options.
The room are modern, cozy but not too small.
Bathroom was clean and well equipped.
I also tried the indoor heated pool, the Jacuzzi and sauna facilities.. really nice.
Finally, knowing that this period of the year in Istanbul was cold and snowy, it's worth to mention that the room was adequately heated.

Room Tip: Any room would be okay (no view)

This hotel is near the metro, the Grand Baazar, stores and other hotels. We stayed at the hotel as part of the Gate 1 tour of Turkey--two days at the beginning and one day at the end. My two hotel rooms were dark and the corridors were noisy. Internet service was only available in the lobby. The breakfast buffet was fine but the scrambled eggs were not appetizing. Staff was helpful.

Room Tip: The hotel restaurant served a good dinner.

I stayed here as part of a group tour. The hotel is centrally located. It's easy to walk from here to many of the tourist sites in Instanbul.

The two rooms I stayed in were clean. The beds weren't uncomfortable, nor were they comfortable... The bathrooms were good. The rooms had many western amenities. Be cautious that your room is not on the street-side of the hotel. The hotel is near or on top of a club which blasts music, keeping travelers like myself awake until 3am...

The breakfast buffet is common for Turkey - the food was ok.

The hotels internet stations/printing stations were terrible. I wouldn't wish the frustration of using them on my worst enemy,

Overall, the hotel was average..
