We visited Istanbul on the way from Dubai to Omsk in Siberia. Strange as it may seem we had never been to this city although we have a direct flight with the Pegasus Airlines from Omsk to Istanbul. We were keen to see the city and Sela was recommended as a guide. He did a splendid job. It was surely off the beaten track and we saw the city from a very different angle. Having an agency in Siberia and travel webpage www.sibtours.com we would highly recommend his services to everybody hwo wants to see Istanbul "with a heart". Sela, we will come back and enjoy again your guiding.

Best regards,

Vladimir Lavrov

We could spare only 3 days to visit Istanbul for the first time in our lives. After reading about many tourist attractions, highlights and recommendations, we decided not to explore on our own but to use a personal guide to fit in everything we wanted to do, see, shop and eat in only 3 days. Selahattin and his team responded very quickly to my e mails, proposed a well planned itinerary of full day walking tours and site visits to all the attractions. We were chauffeured in a private car and accompanied at all times by Sela. He was a walking encyclopedia of the history of each attraction and of the cultural and historical transformations over the last several centuries of his beloved city. We loved that he could answer all our questions passionately and accompany us in every step of the way during our visit, but at the same time he is always discreet and respectful of his companions. Sela shared many insights into Turkish food, his own family life and the local way of living. We even swapped favorite recipes from his Turkish cooking and our Asian dishes! Our visit to Istanbul on our own would not have been enriched by this cultural exchange and friendship with this personal guide. Sela is fully recommended for someone you can trust to keep his word in every step of the way. You will enjoy spending many days exploring Istanbul with his guidance, as we had.

We had two days in Istanbul. Before getting there we read and heard lots of things about Istanbul. we wanted to see as much as we can during our staying. Therefore booked guided tours with our friends recommendation who took their services. ( still very happy whenever talk about the trip )Although a new company, Guides were QUİTE experienced, well-educated and fluently spoken English…

From our first email They immediately responded to all our questions and concerns…Selahattin was our tour guide for two days Istanbul tour and he was terrific: friendly, polite and obviously very experienced and intelligent. He had a tremendous amount of information about everything we saw.

First day tour was top attractions Hagia Sophia,Topkapı Palace, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome,Sokulpasha mosque , Grand market and Hookah Pleasure. Selahattin gave us tremendous information and answered all our questions with a big enjoy. Made every connections easy and understandable step by step. Sokulpasha and Hookah were our additions to tour and Selahattin was very helpful and flexible for our extras…

From my first email contact with Mahsum, I was thoroughly impressed with this tour guides team. He always responded quickly to my email inquiries and arranged excellent transportation to pick us up from the airport and take us directly to our hotel… We booked four days Istanbul tour as we thought to see and enjoy most of things about magical Istanbul. Before detailed tours we had, first off all special thank you to our amazing guide Selahattin, who made it so memorable and special for us. Our first tour was best of Istanbul tour, all visits are located in historic center that included Hagia Sophia, Blue mosque, Topkapi palace, Hippodrome, ruins of Byzantine palace and marvelous Grand Market. It was really best starting to get sense of city importance in world history. Second day tour was Istanbul on Europe and Asia. Selahattin met us at the lobby of our hotel then we did drive to spice market area tour included a beautiful and historic mosque, the Egyptian market, a cruise of the Bosporus ( between two continents ), after cruising we took subway through a tunnel which is 65 meters under the water between Europe and Asia, on the other site of tunnel was a lovely historic district ( forgot name ) walk around visit some historic building and local vegetable, fish market and Maiden tower ( an island in the sea of Marmara) Again back to European side for a tour of Dolmabahce Palace. The third tour we took was Taksim square and area through the New city which included Istiklal avenue, along the avenue music stores, bookstores, art galleries, cinemas, theaters, libraries, cafes, pubs, night clubs with live music, historical patisseries, chocolatiers and restaurants, Mawlawi house, Historic Galata aTower, Armenian and Greek Churches, Ashkenazi and Sephardic synagogues and some others. The final fourth day tour we took was visits of City walls, Seven Dungeons, Eyüp district ( Muslim’s spiritual center ) Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, Chora church, Suleymaniye Mosque and Turkish Bath. Selahattin was BRILLIANT and had an incredible amount of knowledge about all of the history of what we were seeing. He answered all our questions and spoke excellent English. He had a great sense of humor and it felt like touring with a good friend. He met us at the front door of our hotel before both tours and always made sure to point out the bathrooms along the way and suggest great spots for lunch both days. We never felt uncomfortable, as he made sure to always take our comfort into consideration. I highly recommend a guide in Istanbul company and Selahattin - he is a wonderful human being and an amazing tour guide. We learned a huge amount on this trip from him and cannot wait to return to Istanbul again! Thank you to Mr. Mahsum for owning such an outstanding company and a special thank you to Selahattin who we will never forget….
