Didn't stay as tripadvisor reviews mixed!
Have a drink at the bar on the terrace though as the view is amazing!
Book a table as very busy but worth a wait otherwise!
The snack menu is good too and the shawls useful as the sun sets!

So many hotels in istanbul have a bosphorus view but U cant feel like touching the see like in bebek hotel, the view is just AMAZING , refreshing and romantic. The area fabulous with many resturants around,U can just have a long walk to Rumeli Hissari and take Turkish breakfast in Nar Cafe or Kale , enjoy the afternoon tea at bebek koru kahvesi, and have bebek waffle -even better than the waffle in Ortakoy-unforgettable experience, good for thise seeking calm refreshing trips.

I read an article about the bebek hotel and I decided to spend a night there. The hotel is just ok, the rooms are big and spacious.
the view on the bosphore is certainly amazing but it is also noisy with the sound of the boats
Breakfast is poor and coffee disgusting. I went to divan next door for a richer option (there is also starbucks near the hotel).
the neighbourhood is nice with plenty of restaurants and is popular among locals

Room Tip: of course it is better to have the bosphore side as it will be quiter than street side...but still n...

I was in Istanbul for the first time and stayed at the Bebek Hotel at the recommendation of a colleague. She recommended the hotel because it is out of the way and supposedly safer for American travelers. It is out of the way, which means it is also inconvenient to tourist attractions and shopping. Also, since it is off-the-beaten-tourist-path very few people in the area speak English, including the hotel staff.

The hotel itself is historic and charming, but lacks amenities. The rooms are large, but poorly lit. Aside from the language barriers I found the staff aloof and unhelpful. It was impossible to get even basic information like where I could exchange foreign currency. It is also on a busy, loud street. Do not stay in a street side room if you are a light sleeper. Even with earplugs I found it impossible to sleep. I asked for a quieter room, but they charge nearly double for rooms on the Bosphorus side.

Bottom line, there are nicer hotels in Istanbul with better views of the Bosphorus, better rooms, and better service. Next time I will stay at the Swissotel Bosphorus or The House Hotel Bosphorus.

We visited Istanbul twice on a recent holiday first staying in the city centre and then here the second time. Staying in Bebek was by far the better experience. Its well worth paying the extra to get a room with a view of the Bosphorus, with all its yachts, palaces and riverside restaurants.

If you are visiting the sites in central Istanbul the bus takes around 30 mins to get you to Taksim square. As others have said you can also take the boat. And when you get back, after the bustle of central Istanbul, there is nothing better than spending the afternoon relaxing on your balcony or in the riverside bar watching the ships go by.

Some hopefully constructive feedback for the hotel is that if the terrace bar (being open air) had a bit more of an upscale menu along the lines of the restaurant (which is enclosed) rather than burgers and chips then we would have eaten there one of the nights. Also it would be nice if reception had more information for tourists - having the boat timetable would have been useful.

Bebek Hotel is a little ways down the coast road. Without traffic, it takes about 10 minutes to drive there from the Istanbul city center at the Hagia Sophia. With traffic, 30-45 minutes. But there is a better way than a taxi, take one of the boat shuttles on the Bosphorus and float back to your hotel every evening. This hotel has an excellent breakfast spread and you eat right on the Bosphorus. It is close enough to dip your fingers in! Lovely. The fine dining restaurant in one floor below and the waves from the Bosphorus actually lap at the windows. Enchanting and romantic! The air conditioning is fantastic.
Our room was huge. The bathroom is excellently appointed and includes a bidet! Fabulous shower with all glass walls and multiple shower heads. Real luxury!

Room Tip: Choose a room on the Bosphorus side. Do not choose a room on the street side--too noisy. There are l...

I stayed in this hotel for 3 days in May booked by the local university. Wow!! This is a lovely boutique hotel, views across the Bosphorous, breakfast on the water, nice rooms, great food and drinks. A lovely and chilled place to be. Internet is free. The only thing to be aware is that the road outside is a main thoroughfare so best to ask for a water facing room of you are a light sleeper. No fitness room either.
