I have been to Hammams in Morocco and was really looking forward to experiencing this in Turkey (which is supposed to be the "home" of hammams). I had chosen this as it was highly recommended by TA, but was very let down. They claim that the €30 entrance fee get you a scrub with a 15 minute massage, but all I got was a quick wash (about 3 minutes) with about 30 seconds of scrub, before I was told to get into the jacuzzi. I was so baffled, I actually thought the "15 minute massage" was after the jacuzzi, but when I asked they told me that was all that was included. To get a "proper" massage you have to pay another €20 (which would have been fine, but given the service I got, I'm actually glad I didn't get the more expensive option). When I complained about this, the manager was very embarassed and returned €10 to me, but I would have rather had a lovely hammam experience than get my money back! To be fair I did go on a Saturday late afternoon at a busy time, but this is no excuse really. If I'm paying for a 15 minute scrub and massage, it is unacceptable to get a 3 minute wash. On the good side, the place is very clean, but you will be far from having a real Hammam experience, you will feel more like tourists being a little ripped off.
