Especially the permanent exhibition of modern Turkish art from about 1860 till now appealed to me. Some amazing application of "carpet-weaving" techniques are shown in the form of patchwork and industrial weaving. The temporary exhibitions were a bit disappointing, but as a whole this museum is a highlight in this dazzling city. The restaurant/cafe has a wonderful view over the Bosporus.
