When you tire of all the historic monuments, Istanbul Modern provides a glimpse of young, trendy and happening Turkey. Located in the old warehouse district on the water side, the museum is architecturally interesting and the collection is a real surprise. Turkish artists ...painters, sculptors, film producers, printers are all showcased in exhibits that are well displayed with excellent and informative explanations. The museum. Is really outstanding...think Tate Modern without the crowds. The museum restaurant with a large waterfront balcony and indoor seating is also excellent.
