A really fun activity after you've completed touring all of the historic buildings.

FYI - Within a block of the museum, there are many Hookah lounges that might be of interest.

Istanbul Modern has an impressive architecture that is totally worth visiting, the modern paintings are mostly from turkish painters, and they are pretty important too. I've been on Steve Mccurry's photographic exposition, of the Last roll of Kodachrome, it was the first exibition worldwide. Also there is a library, theatre and a grat cafe inside with an amazing view.
It is really nice to visit the antique part of istanbul like Sultanahmed and the mosques, but also is great to see the contrast modern part sometimes, that istanbul is all about the contrasts and the union between modern and antique.

just normal, unfriendly staff, the collection was boring, something more interesting was found in the temporary exhibitions. extremely expensive for what you get, a place to avoid.
