“Very beautiful view”

Beautiful view over the Besphorous, and delicious supplemental breakfast I enjoy it a lot, nicely decorated room with lovely balcony perfect for couples where they can enjoy a cup of hot tea and enjoy the view of the other side .
Helpful staff ,the only drawback is it's location away from the down town so if you have rental car you'll have no problem

This is a nice boutique property right on the Bosphorus water's edge. I only stayed a night as I was moving through on business so did not get the full experience. My impressions were that the rooms whilst nicely appointed were getting a bit tired. Small things matter: if the plug in the sink will not stay engaged so you cannot fill a bowl to shave I have a problem. Also the air conditioning was not working properly and the rooms was hot OPening the shutters did not work because there were venetian blinds that smacked against the windows and made sufficient noise to keep one awake. So in spite of having a fabulously comfortable bed, I didn't sleep well. Internet was free and fast. Breakfast was fairly nice but all a la carte. So if you are not a big eater, you only get to choose one dish and that is your lot. Sometimes a buffet is nicer, where you can try a little of everything. This is of course a personal preference. I had eggs benedict and it was perfectly cooked. But I would rather have had a few Turkish delicacies of my own choosing. The view of the Bosphorous is spectacular. But I am not sure I would go back, especially if I had to pay myself.

Room Tip: Top floor, Bosphorus view

What an amazing hotel in all aspects of being a perfect hotel. The Location is the best one can find on the Bosphorus, the energy , beauty and awesomeness of this Turkish strait is just mind blowing. To experience it from the deck and from my room in the Ajia Hotel was an experience that will stay with me for the rest of my life. The rooms are so well appointed spacious and with incomparable views of the strait. The private boat ferry service provided by the Hotel makes exploring the Bosphorus easy and fun, hop in the boat and go and have a sun downer in Europe and back for dinner in Asia. The breakfast tray was out of this world, done with so much class and distinction, so appropriate while sitting on the deck watching yachts and the big daddies of the sea goes by. The staff is helpful, professional and friendly all the things that makes an hotel stay memorable and unforgettable.hat an amazing Hotel in all aspects. Well done Ajia definitely one of my top 5 Hotels in the world.

Room Tip: The corner one with windows on both sides.

I booked this hotel for 24th June for 4 nights, 72 hours before departure I was email by the managed to say they had a wedding the night we arrived and another during the week, as it was late to rebook elsewhere I emailed back to say we would stay and review when we got there. First night it wasn't too noisy and music went off around 12 at night, however we kept windows closed but we had no air conditioning, temps where around 27oC, next night samething with a party, still no air conditioning so we slept with windows open, we had red lights flashed into bedroom lots of noise from road and party, in the morning we where eaten alive with mosquito bites! So we contacted the manager only to find that all week there where parties/weddings and so after a chat relocated to another hotel. This was a trip I organised for my husbands 50th birthday surprise. Conclusion, staff very friendly and helpful, hotel not for those who go to sight see and then relax by the Bospherus with a drink. Defiantly a hotel for events! Not what we consider a 5* hotel more 3rd rate!

Great location and lovely setting on the Bosphorus - free speed boat picks and drops you off if you are on the other side of the water. Very romantic.
Very nice staff - attentive and very helpful.
Only went there for dinner so cannot comment on the hotel, but was disappointed that the menu was lacking in any Turkish cuisine - didn't go there to eat risotto or samosas!
Nicely presented food, interesting bread basket and delicious puddings.
The menu could be so much more interesting for tourists. Is it because the local guests would find Turkish cuisine boring ... ? If so how about a mixture! Something Turkish at least!! Please!

We had a great stay at this hotel; the setting is beautiful on the banks of the Bosphorus, making for wonderful sundowners, breakfasts and dinners. Our room was very lovely and the staff were very helpful. I will remember our "speed" boat trip to Sultanhamet for a long time to come and given how expensive the cities hotels are, this one was (relatively) good value for money.

With the terrible Istanbul traffic and the distance to the main sights, it takes a long time to get from the hotel to the main sights. Also, I was surprised by the lack of amenities, like a pool or a spa (given the distance from the centre).

All in all, I would thoroughly recommend but note the distance to the centre.

This hotel was supposed to be a nice, calm retreat in a residential area on the Asian side of Istambul... But they missed it big time!
Although situated in an old mansion, A'jia hotel has absolutly no charm. The decoration is impersonal, with no character at all, more like a hospital than a hotel. At the reception, in the rooms, nothing invites you to feel at home like what these places are supposed to be.

Most of all you don't get the calm you are looking for: in fact the void open space of the reception makes the noise come straight to your room. We were shocked how much our room in the second floor is noisy! We heard all the conversations coming from the reception!

The service is just ok, but with a lack of warmth. The staff need to improve their language skills. We had just 1 person at the reception with good English!!!

The food at the restaurant has nothing exceptional. An entrecote meat is a lamb gigot!!!!! That means taking the poeple for stupid fools!
Parts of the restaurant are dusty. I told the service that the bar chairs are covered with dust, he told me that they WILL clean them! The black midfle table is dusty.

The rooms need some refurbishment, they are starting to look old. Which is not a bad thing if that will force them to make a big re looking for that place, and ameliorate how they disposed the beds to get you to face the view instead of facing the wall.

I think this hotel doesn't deliver what it was meant to be.

Anyway, if you are looking at discovering Istambul, you surely don't go there, it is so far away from anything. And if you are looking for a nice romantic trip, you will be disappointed.

You don't get what you paid for or what you expect.

Big disappointment. It should be AVOID
