Owner description: The Rahmi M Koç Museum is the first major museum in Turkey dedicated to the history of Transport, Industry and Communications. Housed in magnificent buildings - themselves prime examples of industrial archaeology - on the shore of the historic Golden Horn, the collection contains thousands of items from gramophone needles to full size ships and aircraft.

There is something for every age here, antique toys, computers, cars, boats, even a real military submarine, jets, airplanes, very clean and air conditioned.

A little off the beaten path but worth it if you are in the Halicarnassus congress area, good for kids too

Not everyone's cup of tea but if you like transport of all descriptions then this one is for you - two buildings across the road from each other but after seeing one building (3hours+) we gave up on the second one! Well worth the entry fee and easily reached by local bus.
