Review of Gulhane Park

As a tourist you end up always in Sultanahment wondering around the monuments and most of the time, if not always, you need a break! What's better than to wonder around in beautiful park. Gulhane Park means "Rosehouse Park" in Turkish and it is just a step away from TopKapi.
I had the chance and I visited the park both in November and July. Gulhane Park in autumn is amazing. Yes, you can feel the cold while wondering around but its scenery is ....breathless! It is less crowded, falling leaves are everywhere.... Don't forget to treat yourself warm chestnuts. Buy them from the main entrance (Sultanahment).
Thus in July, the park is obviously more green, more people are going up and down, yet it keeps the same beauty! Don't forget to pay a visit to the coffee shop which is located towards the end of the park! Treat yourself a cup of tea and enjoy the view of Bosporus!
It's a very good choice to "fill up your batteries" and carry on exploring the city!

Nice and charming park were to enjoy a walk. Very well saved and full of nice attractions. Best spots for a pic are the wooden bridges and the "book fountain". Worth to see.

Walk slowly and soak up the rich beauty of this park. If you walk off to the right you'll get a spectacular view of Istanbul! The roses, when in bloom, smell like magic. The park dogs are friendly and playful, unlike many of the half-comatose dogs in other parts of Istanbul. Take a snack and sit at the overlook... you won't be disappointed.

very nice park with very high trees and a lot of roses where the name of the park is the house of roses (gulhane). the wind in the park is very strong making the trees producing nice sounds from the movement of the leaves.also there is a lot of birds up the trees.

if you have an extra one hour in the historical area ,try to pay a quick visit to this nice little park which is the entrance of which near the gulhane tram station, after walking in the park , you will get out of the park from the other north side near sirkeci station
