Exactly what we were looking for, basic but clean hotel located just minutes from Istanbul's best sites. Hotel is nothing special, but staff was friendly, hotel was well-kept and breakfast / terrace view nice. Overall great value, considering prime location. Not as quiet as I expected, early morning call-to-prayer guaranteed to wake me up at 4am, but part of the experience I suppose. Recommend avoiding tourist-centric, local restaurant scene if you are looking for authenticity or value, instead head to northern Sultanahment of Beyoglu. Regardless, Peninsula serves as an excellent base for travelers looking to see as much of Istanbul as possible in short period of time.
