“Excellent service and location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2014

My husband and I stayed at the World Heritage for 2 nights. The location is unbeatable - all the major tourist attractions (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cisterns, etc) are not more than a 5-10 minute walk away. Everything was so close, that you can actually return to your room between stops for a cup of tea or coffee, or to use the bathroom (if you wish).

Enough cannot be said about the hospitality of the staff - they were absolutely wonderful. The rooms are on the smaller side (especially the bathrooms), but they were immaculate and nicely decorate. They were more than satisfactory for our needs - and the price offered cannot be beat. Next time we return to Istanbul, we most certainly stay here again. We would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Istanbul.

This small boutique hotel is outstanding for the quality of its personalised service and the assistance that the manager, Yusef, and his assistant, Ebru, give to all guests. The other hotel staff were equally helpful. This was the best service we have encountered in any European, American or Australian hotel in many years of international travel. The room, while not large, was comfortable and the location of the hotel was excellent, only a few hundred meters from the Blue Mosque and with other major sites within easy walking distance. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of fruits and vegetables and omelettes made to order. Access to the very efficient Istanbul tram system is close to the hotel and Yusuf assisted by loaning us a tram pass for the duration of our stay. We will definitely stay there again.

We had a reasonable stay at the hotel and are particularly impressed with two main things:
- Amazing location. Literally 5 mins walking distance to the Blue Mosque and the other attractions in Sultanamet. The tram is also similar walking distance away so the hotel is a great place as a base for exploring Istanbul.
- Amazing service, from start to end. Everyone was very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions etc. The hotel provides complimentary mini bar with drinks which is such a nice added touch.

The hotel room was reasonable. The toilet was a little small but adequate for our needs. We would recommend this for those travellers who want value for money stay to explore the city but don't expect very comfortable rooms.

We started and finished a 3 week tour at this hotel which was without a doubt the best hotel in Istanbul aswell as any in the world I have stayed at. The constantly smiling staff are wildly accomodating and are always happy to help over and above expectation. I would highly highly recommend a stay here to anyone travelling this way. Its also in a very central location. Happiest traveller in the world right now enjoying the free tea coffee and cake in the lobby waiting for the cab to the airport. :)))

We've had the good fortune to travel in many parts of the world and I can't say we've ever experienced a hotel with service as amazing as the World Heritage. Youseff and his entire team are wonderful. They are always there to provide guidance and make arrangements for you. Every afternoon there are cakes and sweets out. Youseff was so nice that on my birthday he got me a cake and candles and sang happy birthday! The breakfast is great and the location can't be beat. It's a quiet side street within a stone's throw of the blue mosque. You must stay here!

Our room, on the 2nd floor (3rd level), looked out over a very quiet street despite being just a few minutes from the Sultanahmet tram stop, which in turn got us to every place we wanted to go. That said, except for a couple of occasions, we actually walked everywhere, every was so close. The hotel manager and part owner (Yusuf) was very interesting to talk to and a wealth of information and advice. The room was excellent, just the bathroom was a little small but nothing that made it a problem. Included in the price was a breakfast buffet, the omelets being made to order. There were always cake and other snacks in the entrance way for one to enjoy à la carte. Minibar always had cold water and soft drinks - included in the price. When we left, there happened be another couple who were using a minibus to reach the airport and he just loaded us onto it, at no cost, allowing us to avoid the longer tram/metro ride there. We gave him our unused portions of the passes which he passes onto other guests that have none. Check out the rooftop of the Sah Bar/Sah Restaurant. It's about a 70 stair climb, but worth it.
* A tip for travelers using the tickets that access the trams/buses/boats/light railway etc. You load up the card with what you think you need (start with 20TL each if coming from the airport) and then each time you board or change your transportation, you need to scan it at a turnstile entrance. It is very easy to scan and think that nothing has happened, but check first that you can't go through the turnstiles before you attempt to scan it again!
