The views of Aya Sofia and the blue mosque from this restaurant are the best I've seen at night. Don't forget to take your tripod for some excellent night shots of the mosque. Nothing wow about the food, It was OK. I would recommend going here for the views

The view from the restaurant was phenomenal but the food and drinks were a lot more expensive than anywhere else we have eaten in our 2 weeks in Turkey (literally double the price) and I would say it was the worst food we've had. My starter was bland (borek) and my "ricotta stuffed" Turkish meatballs had no ricotta stuffing and were very dry. Towards the end of our meal the lights went out and then proceeded to turn on and off and flicker for the next 15mins. We had to leave because it was making us feel ill. When I explained to the manager I wasn't very happy that I couldn't finish my wine he just said it was an electricity issue and not his fault though we noted that no other buildings seemed to be having any issues and even the ground floor seemed ok when we left. It's definitely worth going for the view but I'd recommend just to have 1 drink or a dessert and eat elsewhere.

We didn't stay at this hotel, we just went to the restaurant. (Though the hotel was in a good location, attractive, and very modern.)

First, the restaurant has a fantastic view. Absolutely stunning. No question about this. It's a higher-end restaurant.

We sat on the balcony for dinner, to get the best view, seated about 7:30pm on a weekday. Our experience:

- Service was horrible. We waited extraordinary lengths of time for everything. They had one large (very loud) group, but the restaurant was not very busy. The large group had finished with their food before we got our appetizer. No excuse for the abysmal service. No efforts made at better service, no apologies.

- The food we ate (after almost 2 hours, we had been served only a mezza platter appetizer) was mediocre. We had far better everywhere else.

- No effort was made to direct the crowds that went out on the balcony to take photos of the view. We had tripods set up around us, people crowded around us, subjected to lots of chatter. Management should have areas away from customers' tables to admire the view and take photos.

We complained about our situation, and they suggested that we move indoors. We took our wine glasses and walked indoors. And we waited to be directed which empty table we should sit at. (Restaurant was half to 2/3 full now.) We stood there waiting, and we were ignored. All wait staff just walking past us. We finally asked, and were directed to a table.

We sat for a while and they brought our main dish. There was no silverware, no napkins, and no water. We asked for these items and waited. And waited. Finally, we got up and walked out. It would have been impossible to enjoy our food.

We didn't pay for this awful experience. On our way out, we gave them our name and the name of our hotel and said they could contact us if they wanted to.

This was certainly the first time that we had ever done anything like this. It was by far the worst restaurant experience we've ever had. Especially for a supposed "better" restaurant.

Unless the restaurant management does a major turn-around with their staff and procedures, avoid eating here! Just go for a glass of wine maybe and enjoy the view.

The location and accommodations were both ok, price was steep though. But the restaurant service was terrible. Very long wait, about an hour, between ordering and arrival of the food. No service to speak of, the waiters didn't pour drinks for us, didn't bother to offer us bread while we were waiting for the meals to arrive. During and after the meal, the waiters didn't come once to ask us if everything was ok or if we needed anything. After the meal, we asked for desert menu, after waiting for 10 minutes, he came back with the bill, I guess no dessert for us. This was the single worse dinner experience we've ever had while on vacation in anywhere around the world, Europe, Asia, America.
