We were very disappointed, from what I can read I think it depends on which tour you do. It started off well with the email contact and being able to make changes to the itinerary so thought all was good. The tour itself is not cheap especially for Turkey, the first day in Kusadasi with the tour of Ephesus, was amazing and our tour guide was great, despite the information they gave us about not being able to pick us up because it was 45 minutes out, when it was only 15 minutes out from Kusadasi. We had a great first day and were looking forward to the next 2.
It started off badly on day 2 as we thought we were having an early start but having missed one of their emails, a 9 am pick up went to 10.30 am from Kusadasi. Our guide left a lot to be desired and his English was a challenge, the lunch was average and they only thing we did all day was Pergamon and travel on a bus for 8 hours to Cannakale. The guide got off the bus some 3 hours before the end. The hotel which we paid $ 350 USD for 2 rooms was $ 100 USD per room when we arrived, (apparently you can choose your own hotel to suit your budget, but we were not made aware of this). We complained as we were a family with kids 12 & 14 and our 2 rooms were at either end of the corridor, the guys their were great but the Helen Hotel is not worth what you pay for it.
The next day was off to Troy and then Gallipolli. The guides on these 2 tours were great, but it is a very long day starting at 8.30 am and arriving at Istanbul at 11 pm. Gallipolli tour goes for 4.5 hrs and then the trip to Istanbul is 5+ hrs (not helped by a bus driver that didn't go the speed limit and we had tomato trucks passing us - very frustrating)
Given the high price, relative to everything else we did and paid for on our 5 weeks holiday (including a 7 day cruise), we would not recommend the tour to others
