“Beautiful little restaurant with very friendly hosts”
Reviewed June 13, 2014 via mobile

My husband and I are in Istanbul for 9 days. We were on the Asian side today and thanks to TripAdvisor we found this beautiful, cozy restuarant with so delicious homemade Turkish food and cheap prices. The staff are so friendly and they do speak English well. We've enjoyed our meal and dessert. We will definitely come back here in our next vacation.

“Just beautiful...”
Reviewed April 24, 2014 via mobile

We stumbled across this place one evening in Istanbul and what a find. Beautiful little restaurant with a light and airy feel, relaxed vibe and incredibly good value wholesome home cooked Turkish food. Grandmother's in the corner rolling dough and food comes out quick but bursting with flavour. Silk pudding dessert was one of the best dishes either of us have ever tasted.

“My favourite meal in Istanbul”
Reviewed April 21, 2014

We stayed in Istanbul for 6 days and tried many different places to eat. This was my favourite and most memorable dining experience! Thanks to the welcoming and friendly staff, but also the food. A great variety to choose from and fresh ingredients. Great value for money! Perfect way to experience authentic Turkish cuisine!

“Amazing authentic Turkish dining experience”
Reviewed April 12, 2014

After looking through Trip Advisor for somewhere to eat, we thought we would give Salkim Sogut a try and the reviews were spot on! From the moment we walked in, we felt a friendly, laidback vibe, staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Staff were able to make recommendations and explain all ingredients - fantastic English! We had bulghar meatballs, calamari, dolmas and meatballs, all felt very authentic homemade turkish cooking! We loved the flavours and nice to enjoy with a beer. It was a little difficult to find, in that it is above a dress shop and looks like it may be apart of this. All in all, a brilliant place to eat and I would highly recommend!
