“Great and reasonable”

I read the Trip advisor reviews and wasn't disappointed. Great food, full restaurant, next door to my hotel. Great service. Recommended. Better than my Fish Market meal which was also very good.

“Great food, great price, friendly service.”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

Despite being in the Sultanahmet tourist zone Seatanbul is far from being just another 'meat casserole cooked in a jar' Istanbuli restaurant. Based on what we had - the haloumi and mixed pastry platter for starters and the saffron sea bass and chicken almondine for mains - the food was excellent. The desserts were a little unsophisticated, but great fun. Highly recommended.

“Sea Bass is a must!”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

Wow!! WE somehow stumbled across this little gem whilst walking around the city at night. The restaurant looked like a cosy retreat which attracted us to it. I had the sea bass and my girlfriend, the casserole lamb chops. I am no a big fish eater but this transformed my view. The meal was such a joy to eat I was scared of finishing the meal because the enjoyment would end. We talked to the owner Ercan who explained to us everything about the fish and how it was cooked. Mesmorising. The service was great and so friendly. Highly recommended

“Excellent food and Service.”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

It was a cold, windy night. We arrived after dark and sat inside. We have no idea what the view was like.

What we DO know is that the service was attentive and that we were given careful assistance in selecting an alternative when our wine choice was out of stock (the end result was cheaper than the original).

The small mixed meze at 9TL is great value. For mains we both had whole fish (Sea Bass and Sea Bream). Both were fresh and well cooked. At 17-19TL, also great value.

The atmosphere was cozy and pleasant.

People who venture to this slightly out-of-the-way restaurant will not be disappointed.

“excellent seafood and splendid view”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

We had an early dinner on Sunday evening, so the road traffic was not loud. The view out over the Marmara as evening fell and the tankers and freighters lined up to go through the Bosphorus was beautiful. Our seafood dinner with hummous appetizer was delicious and the Turkish wine was excellent -- in all a very satisfying evening. I would gladly go back.
