Situated in a tiny side alley very close to the famous Taksim Square, this place astonished us. It is a modern, new managed little rooms, some with balconies, facing very old apartments inhabited by Turks. A great mixture between modernity and authenticity. A 3-minute walk to both Taksim Square with access to the Funicular and Metro systems and the infamous Istiklal Caddesi (pronounced as Jaddesi = street. A bit of Turkish for you here ;)) - the throbbing heart of Istanbul city.
The rooms are small but nicely packed with what you need from a decent flat screen TV, small fridge, cooker, kettle, air-conditioning, safe, essential cutlery and crockery. Wi-Fi is complimentary and very reliable. There is very little place, to hang your clothes.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. They helped with everything, including booking our taxi and guiding us through our navigations in Istanbul.
The building has no lift - great for losing the calories after eating the great Turkish food- and the stairs are narrow and spirally. The TV has one or probably two English channels, but who cares, as you would not stay in being so close to all the attractions in Istiklal street. There is a very handy convenience shop exactly opposite with good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables and a bakery near by.
We would definitely go again as it is very reasonably priced and greatly situated in the middle of the city.

Room Tip: Get a balcony and try a higher floor, if you are fit enough to climb the stairs :)

The staff is very good & helpful and doing an excellent job in promoting their hotel.
The location is not good being in an old alley that will not be suitable for certain type of travelers. Also there is no lift and will be a bad luck for you if you have children or little bit older. TV channels are limited and they could do nothing about it specially if you are going to stay in the room for the evening or raining outside. The housekeeping also needs improvment
However, as I always say, the people are the greatest asset and they tried their best according to the resources they have in hand.

We're a 30ish married couple who wanted to explore Istanbul on our first visit and this little hotel was perfect. It's walking distance from Taksim Square, which is the transport hub of the town and a very convenient place to be near. It's also walking distance from Istiklal Cadessi which is essentially the Oxford St of Istanbul - really buzzing shopping street where shops are open to past 11pm. If you head down the side streets you'll find the main Istanbul nightlife - bars and restaurants aplenty. So location is excellent.
