“Beautiful cafe, punchy coffee, tasty food”
Reviewed July 7, 2013 via mobile

I discovered this place through a friend and it has become my favourite place for a coffee in Istanbul. The coffee is great, the food prompt and tasty and the staff are very kind. I really enjoyed the decor too. Worth taking the time to find it, you'll quickly relax to a great brew under the grape vines. Enjoy!

“Bohemian Coffee Break”
Reviewed June 29, 2013 via mobile

Interesting place at the back streets of Karakoy. A silent street where you really enjoy a little break at caotic Istanbul. Good coffee - Serves Meinl of Austria. Quite trendy with design era of surrounding Istanbul. An American influence at decoration with European street cafe culture. A must if you are in the area. Serves only panini and croissant besides coffee and drinks. Highly recommended to see urbaneers of the city. Some art galleries and design shops at close vicinity.

“Bohemian charm”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

Karabatak Cafe is nicely secluded, in the little less busy part of Karaköy, close to the tram stop. It is a cool place to have a casual coffee in charming surroundings.
There is plenty of seating inside, where you can enjoy modern and colourful décor. If you prefer to catch some sun you can relax on comfy seats on the pavement.
They serve great Viennese coffee, home-made sandwiches and other snacks.
Be sure to also try their lemonade and other ice-cold drinks
