“A very special place”

I kind of don't want to write this because homage is so fantastic I'd rather no one else knew about it. But clearly the secret is already out! Everything at homage, from the very friendly service, to the beautiful design of the apartment and the sensitive building renovation, to little touches like nice conditioner in the bathroom and cosy blankets and slippers, is perfectly thought through and executed. The location, in the heart of beyoglu and next to the beautiful Armenian church, is gorgeous; we could walk to great bars and restaurants in the same area. I will definitely be back.

Our party of three stayed five nights at Homage Istanbul and we experienced genuine hospitality from the moment we arrived. The owner, Bekir, and his staff were very attentive to our needs and went above and beyond the call of duty.

Our two-bedroom apartment was very spacious and tastefully furnished. The location was perfect too - just 10 minutes' walk to Istiklal Street. We felt safe walking back even late at night. Also, there's a small bakery which sells the best simit I've ever had!

My friends and I agree that we'll definitely stay at Homage again the next time we're back in Istanbul!

We stayed at homage during our recent trip to Istanbul. From the moment we arrived the staff at homage made us feel right at home. They were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We were so happy to hear that we received an upgrade and the apartment was absolutely AMAZING- we wish we could of stayed longer!! The apartments are so spacious & include a bedroom, bathroom, dining/kitchen, living room and reading room. The location is in walking distance to Taksim square which was also very handy. We loved it here & will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

We had an amazing time at Homage!
The apartment has a lot of space, clean and very nice decorated!! The staff is excellent, very friendly and helpful. On walking distance (5 minutes) from famous Istiklal, metro and tram.

And the Thai restaurant CokCok on the road to Istiklal is delicious like Thailand.

We will definitely go back there!!!

I can confirm that the pictures don't lie... A renovation done with as much love as respect for the old Istanbul craftsmen. And decorated with the incomparable pictures by Ara Guler.
What a blessing to stay here, especially when attending a tiering conference. Closing the day on the roof terrace, with a coffee brought up by ALI and a phone call by Bekir asking if I wasn't hungry, 360° views on the city, the perfect way to end the day 'at home'.
And then a good night's rest in a good quality bed and.... no need for ear-plugs.
Thank you Homage, I will be back! Mieke from Antwerp, Belgium

We stayed for three weeks in August. Lovely place and lovely people. Everything very new and very comfortable. The apartment was cleaned daily. Good high speed wifi. Located in a quiet back street with local shops. Great fresh bread from the bakers across the street! All in all, well worth a stay.

Stayed in Istanbul for 4 nights and my wife and I decided we wanted to skip the traditional hotel experience in favor of having some more space and a feeling of home. Given that we travel for business and pleasure several weeks a month, we were nothing less than blown away by the our stay at Homage. The building is in the heart Beyoglu within a walking distance to Istiklal street and even upon entering feels as though you are entering your penthouse in NYC complete with 24 hour concierge.

Having stayed in apartments in other European cities such as Barcelona and Paris, we were mildly concerned about the "hassle" of having to book a property and having to make multiple phone calls, etc to arrange everything. Absolutely NOT the case with Homage. We were easily able to view our options online through their website www.homageistanbul.com and make all of our reservations etc through the website. The pictures online of our apartment were EXACTLY what the room looked like (which is so often not the case) down to the blanket on the bed. In this case it truly was what you see is what you get.

As for the apartment itself, it was well priced and the design was fantastic. Completely modern quarters including a kitchen, beautiful artwork, LARGE (especially for Europe) bathrooms, and the touches of Turkey such as the bedding and traditional Turkish rugs that really set this place apart. The rooftop terrace has a view of the city that feels straight out of a movie and the staff go out of their way to ensure you have everything and anything you need.

Overall this was a fantastic option (and a cheaper one compared to most hotels in Istanbul) that gave us an experience to remember. We have already booked our return trip back to Istanbul for the holidays and will be staying again at Homage.
