Taksim Square is basically the Time Square of Istanbul, not my favorite area. But it is convenient to the Havatas Airport Shuttle, Metro and Tram. The Ramada is off a quiet side street away from the craziness. It was enjoyable coming back to the peace of the hotel each night and the staff was always friendly and welcoming. The rooms are modern, basic and clean. When I arrived we were given 303, but it smelled like smoke, even though it was a non smoking room. The girl at the desk was more than happy to offer us the alternate room 301, which was perfect. Friends of ours stayed in 306, which was also good. We stayed at this hotel for 10 nights. We were very surprised at how good the breakfast buffet was. We loved it! I would definitely recommend getting a package where it was included. Some folks on TA mentioned issues with air-conditioning. Ours worked fine and the room had its own thermostat. My only complaint about the hotel was the internet. We had to put a chair by the door to get a connection. The signal was very poor in the room. The Havatas Airport Shuttle is at the end of the block. Be warned! Do not take a taxi in Istanbul. You will be scammed or worse. The bus, metro and Trams can get you where you need to go. I recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
