“May be better options...”
Reviewed May 3, 2014

Took the 1.5 hour cruise from 11-12:30pm on a Saturday. It only cost 12 TL per person which makes me feel ok about the experience since it was such a small investment. The scenery is absolutely beautiful but because it's so crowded your view is often obstructed by standing fellow passengers and it was absolutely impossible for us to make out any of the narrative which I was disappointed about because it looked like we were passing some very old and historically rich structures. I read online that there are other cruises that offer lunch and are less crowded, if I had to do it over I would probably look into those but if you just want a quick trip around the strait to take in sites then this would be sufficient. We went inside after a while because while it was a warm day it can be very chilly on the water and it was a lot less crowded inside. Of course, that significantly limited our views. Good freshly squeezed orange juice and sandwiches offers for small price. Oh, and ladies be sure to bring your own items to restroom!

“A "must do"”
Reviewed April 25, 2014

We did an afternoon 3 hour cruise and it was so lovely to see Istanbul gliding past in all its glory. You will, of course, need a jacket, even on a warm day but the views of the skylines are wonderful. The attentive staff keep you well served with tea, coffee, freshly squeezed juice etc and the whole thing is a lovely, relaxing way to spend a few hours. And yes, we were lucky enough also to see Dolphins! Istanbul and the bridges look completely different from the water; money well spent.

“Beautiful Day on the Water”
Reviewed April 4, 2014

Another positive vote for the 1.5-2hr Bosphorus round trip on TurYol. A beautiful day, and great watching the coast slide past. We benefitted for earlier reviews- we took a picnic (although there was a guy coming around constantly with different food offerings), and took our thick coats. Even on a 21 degree spring day in Istanbul it was freezing on the water. Those that didn't have them ended up inside!

“Great views, good value for money”
Reviewed March 28, 2014

Did this cruise on a beautiful, sunny day when the weather was in the mid-10s Celsius. The 1.5-hour cruise was only 12 lira. They sell tea and other drinks on board for 1+ lira.

Beautiful views of the European and Asian skylines of Istanbul. The cruise is just the right length if you're like me and get antsy from sitting for too long. They appear to be giving descriptions of the sights over the loudspeaker, but it's impossible to hear anything. Lucky for me the couple sitting next to me had hired a tour guide and I got to hear his descriptions. You pass by or see the key sights, such as Galata Tower, the Blue Mosque, Kale Fortress, Dolmabache Palace, etc. and because it's a smaller boat than some of the other cruise lines, you stay pretty close to shore so you can get good, clear pictures.

“We saw dolphins!”
Reviewed March 17, 2014

We took the 12noon trip for 1.5 hours for 12TL and it was lovely.

The views were amazing at all times but we couldn't hear the commentary very well - probably because we were outside (and it was freezing!). We could have gone downstairs inside but I'm so glad we didn't as we saw a pod of dolphins go passed which was such a bonus.

Well worth the money.
