Our guide spoke excellent English and was a delightful companion for our one day tour of the Bosphorus and walk in Asia. We learnt so much in one day about Turkey. We wished we had done the tour on the first day of stay as it would have changed some of our choices of what to do in 4 days. Highly recommended.

This being our 2nd time in Istanbul we wanted to do something different. We came upon the Istanbul walks and decided to do the Genoese Fortress/ Castle Hill tour which included a cruise on the Bosphorous.
On the day if the tour we were promptly picked up from our Hotel at 8.45am and assigned our Tour Guide Yuke. A delightful young lady who was instrumental in making our day memorable! We started with a visit to the Spice Market followed by a quick tour of the New Mosque. The Bosphorous Cruise was interesting and Yuke gave us a lot of info. Once we reached our destination, we realised it would only be 'uphill' from there, pun intended! The climb up to the summit proved to be a challenge for us. However the vista from atop the Hill made up for steep climb. The seafood at the hill top restaurant was fresh and tasty!
Overall a good day out and we would love to return to do the walk through the Asian part of Istanbul! Thank you Yuke! ( in a

Just finished another great trip with Gate 1 Travel. The local Tavel guides that Gate 1 hires are experts in their knowledge of the history of Istanbul. They added so much to the tours we did in the old city, the new city, and the bosphous cruise. Thanks again for another great trip.

I did the Bosphorus Cruise and Asia Walk, our guide was Sanem Yucesoy and she was excellent. She really listened to our small group (7) needs and adapted the tour slightly to ensure we got what we wanted. She struck the right balance in guiding / informing and giving us space to explore. Would have loved to do more tours with this company but sadly had to fly back.

We did two tours wit Istanbul walks - Jewish district and Byzantine monasteries of Istanbul.

I especially loved the first one for the guide. His name was Serhat. He was very passionate about the history of Istanbul. You could see that he is deeply in love with the city, knows a lot and never ceases to dig deeper into the great history of magnificent Istanbul. He told us many interesting stories, pointed out small details that would otherwise go unnoticed and was very helpful with unrelated questions like where to eat the best fish and what Turkish bath is best to visit. Besides, he is very charismatic and his English is easy to understand. Oh, and did I mention that the tour was very interesting even though we are not Jews? :)

The second one involved lots of walking. We went to places we would never go on our own. We could see how life would change from one district to another, from conservative to ultraconservative neighborhood... This tour made me want to read books on the Byzantine empire once again. It was money well spent.

And the guy at the office was very nice and helpful.
Great job, Istanbul walks! We will definitely book other tours from you on our next visit to your wonderful city.
