We were only going to be in Turkey for four days. And as fascinating as Istanbul is, we still wanted to go to Cappadocia. The normal visit is 2 days there including bus time, but thanks to Jasminne Tours, we were picked up at our hotel at 5:30 am, taken to the Istanbul airport from where we flew to Kayseri airport and another pick up for our tour of Cappadocia. By 9 pm that day we were back at our hotel, exhausted and exhilarated. Jasminne Tours made all the arrangements from airline to even having us change tour busses mid-way so that we could avoid the inevitable stop at a pottery making demonstration. Communication was fantastic -- and the tour guides so knowledgeable. We saw the fairy chimneys, the mushroom-shaped pinnacles of Monk's Valley, the open air museum at Goreme and Kaymakli underground city. Around $250 per person including airfare. Jasminne Tours is online at www.jasminetour.com. Do be aware there is a lot of walking. Comfortable shoes definitely advised! Bravo Jasminne Tours. We couldn't and wouldn't have done it without you!

“Jasmine Tour of Jewish Istanbul”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

We took a half day tour from Jasmine of Jewish history of Istanbul. Our tour guide was a gentleman by the name of Ali. They picked the 4 of us by a van and took us to some of historic synagogues of Istanbul.
People, this was really a waste of time and money. We learned very little, the tour guide was lacking anything more than the most superficial information. At one of the synagogues he took us too they would not accept visitors for another hour so we had to wait. Total mismanagement.

The guide was balanced. Balanced as in he spent about a third the time working and the rest of time time talking with his friends or family on his cell phone. I can't think of anything the tour guide knew about the places we visited other than how many floors were there and when there was a terror attack. We wanted to enjoy this experience, but he made it difficult.

Jasmine Tour charged us a sultan's ransom for this tour - 90 EUR per person which gave us the false hope it would a great experience. It was not and I would strongly advise anyone interested in learning about the history of Istanbul find a different company and avoid having Ali at all costs.

Erdal P, Owner at Jasminne Daily Tours, responded to this review, November 4, 2013
Dear Guests,

Thank you for your review which has some major mistakes;

Your tour was a full day tour, not a half day tour(we don’t have half day Jewish Heritage Tour). Basicly this tour was confirmed for a couple on April 5th but on April 8th the couple’s son and his wife(Seth & Olga) inquired to join them on the private full day tour which we accepted. On tour date on April 22nd 2013, Seth & Olga left the tour to go to shopping mall at noon time before the tour is completed. I guess this is why you assumed it is a half day tour. In the afternoon there was Neve Shalom Synagogue and Jewish Museum visit which they missed by leaving the tour on their will to do shopping.

The synagogues can refuse visitors to visit synagogues at any time or before given times and they are very strict about it. Synagogues are holy places and the rules have to be obeyed. Before the Neve Shalom visit at noon time normally there must be a lunch break but as you didn’t have lunch there had been a time gap and you had to wait until 13:00 to visit Neve Shalom.

The tour guide is responsible for providing you the necessary information on sites(synagogues) which your tour covers and when the guests go around to take photos while the guide gives information about the site, guests should be listening to the guide.

The tour guide can make necessary calls on the tour; his calls were to our office, to synagogues to confirm with them about the visits and to the driver to arrange the meeting with him/minivan.

Best regards,
Erdal Pirol

“I Can Highly Recommend”
Reviewed November 22, 2012

I was initially concerned about using a tour company I had read very little about, but the tour outlined on the Jasminne Tours website was exactly what I wanted. I contacted them with questions, and all of my queries were responded to immediately.

I took the two day Ephesus/Priene, Miletus and Didyma tour and could not have been more pleased, as everything was seamless. My tour included pick up from my hotel in Istanbul, air travel to Izmir, pick up from the airport, tours of both Ephesus and PMD, an overnight stay in Kusadasi, transport back to the airport, and delivery to my hotel back in Istanbul.

The guides and drivers used on both tours were very friendly and extremely knowledgable, and the vehicles used were new. We were given plenty of time to wander about the sites to take photos, and the guides were eager to answer any questions that we had. Tour group size on both days were small; approximately 7-8 people. After the tour to Ephesus, we were taken to a fashion show at a leather shop as well as a carpet making demonstration. Both were very interesting and we were never pressured into making a purchase.

In the end I was very glad I chose Jasminne Tours. I would not hesitate to use them again.

“Cappadocia two days visit-Wonderful”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

We used the Jasminne Tour company and went to Cappadocia for a two days trip. The tour guide named Kubra Ruhluel from HTR-tour company was a pleasant and knowledgeable person. She explained and answered the attraction one by one. We visited the cave mountains, underground city, pottery factory, and had the early morning hot air balloon ride. All of the activities are arranged perfectly.
Overall, the trip was wonderfully and memorable.

“Istanbul and Cappadocia tours”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

We used Jasmine Tour to organize our visit to Turkey. They set up a city tour of Istanbul and a tour of Cappadocia, along with all of flights into and out of Turkey, and all of our hotels. We also had transport from hotels to airport and vice versa. In every instance, the drivers arrived on time. The tours were organized efficiently and were informative.
Jasmine Tours tailored our tours to handle our time constraints and our itinerary.

Huyla Ercan even called our hotel in Cappadocia to check on us as we had cancelled one of the tours due to illness.

I would definitely recommend this agency.
